The Emerald Coast Classic needs a team. Fran's Hawkeyes are a host team. He needs to bring them to the TUC, as a top ten team, its the least he could do for his former team In all seriousness wasn't that part of the deal when he left?

In the past few seasons Siena's scheduled opponents have gone considerably down. Now is the time to start getting more A-10 opponents and the like to see where Siena stands in the scheme of things.GO SAINTS!!

JP confirmed FGCU today. Also sounds like the non bracketed CBE Hall of Fame Classic with road games at Kansas and GW will happen.

Patsos also mentioned, as previously tweeted here, that Siena is looking at exempt tourney with Kansas next season (also George Washington). 5 retweets 1 like Mark Singelais @marksingelais 3h3 hours ago
Siena coach Jimmy Patsos says on MAAC conference call that team will add Florida Gulf Coast to schedule next season.Only problem I see is GW is a team we should be playing in a home and home situation and not for money. GW is the type of "guarentee" that we would have a chance to winning completely different than playing at Duke. Hopefully Siena will spend the money and get two home games out of it unlike the RI deal from this past year.

Hopefully Siena will spend the money and get two home games out of it unlike the RI deal from this past year. From the way it was structured last year it looks like Siena would have to play at Kansas, at GW, and at another midmajor team and would get a home game against a midmajor team.

Perhaps JP can negotiate what Paul Hewitt did when Siena played in GW's early season tournament when he was coach: if Siena and GW met in the final, the two schools would play home and home the following seasons. Siena did not win its first round game, however.
This event explains the willingness to start a home and home with FGCU. Although I agree that it is not among my top 30 non-high major schools for a home and home series, the home game in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic preserves our having 14 home games. The question remains whether it is a desirable home game. The four non-KC-bound schools in this year's event were Fairfield, Columbia, Wofford of the SoCon and Maryland-Eastern Shore of the MEAC. It's hard to get excited about any of them.
By the way, I saw a post on another board that the other two host schools for the first two rounds will be UAB and either Cal or Georgia, in addition to Kansas and GW.
