What we've learned after 25% of the season: When we run we have a much better chance to win When we slow it down, the lead, if any, will disappear When we slow it down, we don't seem able to pick it up again at the other end of the floor Good coaches make in-game and halftime adjustments When something isn't working, don't stick with it ad nauseam Sideline demeanor has little bearing on coaching ability Translating a scout into a game plan needs to be reexamined - the 3 pt play to tie has been used many times by Cornell Cultural and historical lessons are of little value at game time
Not in a panic yet, but the excitement level has been eroded!

Again, definitely a bad game to lose, but if it is let Patsos go and pack it in after the first unexpected loss, what will happen when Siena loses another game this season? The record to date is as I predicted, but with the third loss being to Cornell instead Bucknell. There is certainly work to do, but to go full blown "the sky has fallen" based on one game seems a bit premature to me, but if that is what it takes to cope have at it.

There is more than enough blame to go around with losses! But it's up to the players to play better! Example- Having a half court pass- in the Bucknell game-almost end up the stands! That can't happen! Not if you expect to win!

Was at the game .As mentioned above some calls were B S ( homer). Hard for me to believe that Cornell will finish at the bottom of The Ivy. Nico was not his self. Saw nothing of bench behavior that was of concern to me. Disappointed in two players' play won't name them (not LL). Defense down stretch was not what it could be due to 4 fouls on Bisping and Wright.

I think our continued propensity to foul has preloaded the zebras' whistles making early calls easier to make. The number of fouls is certainly critical but so is the timing. The team last night did not look anything like the team that played Radford and Bryant and both of those teams were much, much, IMO better than last night's opponent. Cornell's ability to scratch out the win will certainly help them in Ivy play but I think they will finish in the bottom half of that league - the Ivy coaches are all pretty good.

Yes, I do think our reputation precedes us in that category (fouling) and is not helping.

Good teams will learn and rebound from losses like this. This is when player leadership has to step up! Better now, than later! Navy SEAL Leif Babin:Leaders must own everything in their world. There is no one else to blame!

Great to see the rabid fans out again, oh yes the wannabe coach's, those wanting to be the players on the court. Yes Siena is suppose to win every game, and yes their opponents are suppose to lose every time. Stop being delusional, team is still trying to be rebuilt. Like it or not the team will come around. I like everyone else would like to see the team win every game, not going to happen. Take a close look what Siena has, relatively young team, experience not there, just getting the chemistry comradery back. Yes they should run, stop playing not to loose but better coach's than JP have made the same mistake. Let's all respect each others opinion take a deep breath and support the team.

"rabid fans" does not fit well with your "Let's all respect each others opinion" statement, IMHO! "experience not there" - 1 senior, a red shirt senior, a red shirt Junior, and 3 juniors are logging the bulk of available minutes and we have a very experienced coach - that experience exceeds that of last night's opponent.

Never seen a team that has more players foul out than Jimmy Patsos coach teams- since Jimmy is winning less than 50% of his games here at Siena maybe he should consider something different – we supposedly have depth- when player picks up 2 fouls in 1st half sit them for rest of half, when player picks up 3rd foul early in 2nd half sit them… if player picks up 3rd or 4th foul in second half and have been on court a long time sit them, since it’s a known fact tired players foul more than fresh players- maybe then we will have players available at end of game. Players that can actually play defense since they are not in foul trouble. Try anything- it’s better than seeing players foul out game after game.. and hear Jimmy say " that's on me I'm the coach" we tell them not to foul..LOL

The biggest problem is with players in foul trouble(We tell them not to foul) is they allow uncontested shots!Bring in fresh bodies to do the work thats needed under the basket which includes contesting shots and getting rebounds.GO SAINTS!!

No they need wins to reestablish this program....not using games as effing practice. That's stupid. You reestablish the program in maac play and win the tournament. You won't care in a few months about this loss if Worley is playing well. Sorry that is small time thinking. With the support this program receives we are no longer satisfied with just making the post season getting a crap seed and going home.

As far as rabid fans, I will respect their opinion though not agree with them. Many here are passed, rightfully so that Cornell upset Siena, but yet cheer that Monmouth had their 3 upsets, yes cheer Siena when they upset Ohio State. Can't have it both ways, sorry I am a realist. Far as experience seems JP has changed the style again well they are still learning.

The rub comes because most Siena fans are sick and tired of 5 losing seasons. If this was a team coming off 2 or 3 20 win seasons I don't think you would see the bitching youre reading now ...... Do upsets happen, without a doubt. I think fans were hoping Siena had turned a corner. The Cornell loss was just another stark reminder of just how bad things have been and it also furthers the concern that Patsos might not be the right guy.
