Loyola had a chance to win at the end of regulation, Wright played great D. If they drove to the hoop it would have been interesting if they would have called a foul. If you're feeling good about an 8 point ot win over Loyola at home, that's great. I'm just not excited about it. If, If, if ... If hell froze over it would be cold. So what, sometimes a mediocre team plays over their heads. Patsos recruited some of those kids maybe they felt they had a point to make!

I hope the team forgets about this one and isn't out celebrating that win.

I'm not saying they're a good team but they will do OK in the Patriot league. Jimmy recruited all the guys that were factors for them today outside of Walker (Hubbard, Laster and Jones) Jimmy really shouldn't have played this series so soon after leaving Loyola but at least Siena went 2-0. Think St. Fran will be giving Siena a home and home anytime soon?

Nice to get the comeback win. But needing OT to beat that team doesn't give me much confidence going into maac play. Give you confidence? You had next two games as losses anyway- so lets not pretend like you lost confidence- you never had it. For the life of me I have no idea why you hang out on this board and not the Syracuse board

For a team that has 7 players, losing Zane Waterman to a flagrant 2 would be really bad for their next game Friday at Siena

Refs review and Manhattan's Zane Waterman has been thrown out for the flagrant 2 foul. He exits Rose Hill Gym #MAAChoops

Yeah, he's doin' stuff. Looking better. He's been fine all season, it's not all about stats. He's been doing everything that has been expected of him and today his scoring was a bonus. He's a steady player, wish I could say the same for Oliver, his turnover down the stretch was huge, boneheaded pass into the paint for a senior. Yeah, even Tommy mentioned on radio after the first caller that Kenny's been the most consistent Fr. Nico doesn't start because he brings so much energy off the bench (change of pace). Today we saw he can score too, if needed. Like the fact that Kenny starts at point. Marquis seems to have more at the end of games this season (not having to run the point and guard the other team's PG all game. Today's 1st half wasn't pretty but they looked good in 2nd half & OT.

A Daly Dose Of Hoops dalydoseofhoops 24m24 minutes ago As per a Manhattan official, Zane Waterman will NOT be suspended for Friday's game at Siena, as his flagrant-2 did not involve fighting. Nevermind.

Just noticed I predicted Siena by 8 and what do you know Siena won by 8 points Siena outscored the Hounds 56-33 the last 22 minutes including OT. First time Siena played back-to-back OT games since 2010-2011 (lost both) First time Siena scored 90 points since a 103-95 loss to Quinnipiac in 2014. First time Siena scored 90 points in a win since a 99-79 to Brown in 2009 also the last time Siena started 4-2. Possibly first time Siena has given up 80 pts and won both in a row (or at least not in a real long time).

KK is an Oliver fanboy who thinks Wormly has no business starting. He thinks you need a bushel of stats otherwise you are not playing well, intangibles don't show on a stat sheet. Wormly is a smart steady player. I love the intensity both he and Nico both bring to the game and for freshman just 5 games into the season ... Impressive Wormley finally showed up. I'm happy. ... . Newsflash, I root for the entire team. ... . +1, me too. Welcome back KK

Without the 3 point shooting this is a crippling loss. It's a game changer. Yup - It helped but Loyola had the exact same number of points from 3. It didn't change the game for them. Any critical points, key defensive stops and smart basketball can be called a game changer. while I'm not a Papi fan and I disagree with his statement that "this would have been a crippling loss", I do agree that Wright's 4 three's in a quick 3 min span turned the momentum of the game to Siena's favor. Whereas Loyola's there's in first half weren't as much of a game changer seeing there was a whole other half to play. Both teams may have had ten threes but the timing of Siena's were a game changing difference that deflated the other team a little more. Siena was already playing flat when Loyola hit there threes. It wasn't like Loyola's three caused Siena to play crappier than they already were in the first half. But Siena's timing of their threes, IMO, impacted Loyola and more so gave Siena the boost to play harder. blog.timesunion.com/collegesports/wright-brings-back-siena-with-3-point-flurry/20882/

Good win today- not Jimmy’s best coaching job, GG was ready for Siena’s press, Hounds were consistently beating it leading to 3 on 2’s for Loyola – and to Loyola players credit they hit those open 3’s and once they got some confidence started hitting some tough shots. Jimmy wanted team going inside—well GG isn’t stupid he could hear Jimmy yelling that also and started collapsing his players. On one play Jimmy was screaming his head off to get ball inside, Siena players passed the ball to Imoh 15 feet from Hoop and of course Imoh tried to fiddle and diddle and lost the ball leading to fast break for Hounds- I blame that play on Jimbo – Imoh is out there to play defense rebound and block shots, as Mike Deane once told me about Monty Henderson, if you look down and see Paint you can shoot, if not pass to Marc Brown—well Imoh if you look down and see paint shoot, if not pass ball back to Quis. And Jimmy don’t “force” ball inside to Imoh, he’s been here 4 years very few times has good things happened when forcing ball to Imoh As for Wormley and Nico— I’ll toot my own horn, I said on this board to and to several board member the freshmen would have big day- was unfair to judge freshmen on road, especially Kenny, who is solid player with great length. Not sure what’s going on with Oliver if he is hearing footsteps of Nico or what, but he hasn’t been his usual reliable self I will say this- 2 off games in a row, cant force things inside when nothing is there, and if a team figures out the press don’t keep giving up wide open shots. If we don’t play better vs Cornell this team will lose Tuesday night It's not surprising - as his former assistant, GG knows everything Patsos runs. It was the easiest possible scout. The important thing is Siena made the necessary adjustments and blew the doors off them the last 1/4 of the game.

Loyola's 3 barrage deflated us. (up 6, down 8 at half...14 pt swing for you math majors) Ours deflated them (15 pt deficit, tied the game) Game went to OT. Because we had time to come back, it made ours "luckier?"
