So for anyone who cares about the math, even ignoring the two up games, Siena is giving two road games (one at Albany and one at TBD) for two home games against Albany, this is really a pretty bad deal. I think your math is wrong. If the series with Albany were not continued, Siena would be short a game for each of the next two seasons (I will deal with 2017-18 later). Had we scheduled Harvard, that would be a home-and-home, so we are not giving up anything the first two years that we wouldn't give up if the series were to stop. The third year we get the home game as part of a four game, exempt event. It is a 15th home game, something we have not had in a number of years. An exempt event with one home game when that game is likely to draw 10,000+ is a lot better than an exempt event with no home game, like we have in 2015-16. I think the real math is that we are getting two home games vs. Albany in 2015-16 and 2017-18 and an extra home game in 2017-18 for a road game at Albany in 2016-17 and a road game TBD in 2017-18.

That's how I understood it. While that 2017-18 "home game" won't be included in our season tickets, it's still a 15th home game (at TUC).

Is the Harvard deal officially off/delayed? It was my understanding that the Harvard game was a "just in case" scenario if the UA game didn't pan out. Now that UA game is on, I'm assimg the Harvard is off (or postponed) at best.

Harvard starts in 16/17 at Harvard So it was just in case starting at TUC in 2015-16, otherwise it still continues 2016-17 at Harvard w/2017-18 at TUC now?

I just noticed something. First have a few drinks. Then take a look at the Subject of this Post and let me know if it appears to read differently. It did for me tonight. The "re" became an "i". Kind of funny, at least to me.

Pushing Harvard back a year is a shame. I do think that's a game that needs to happen, Siena should be playing out in Boston and RI more. It's an easy drive for us and I'm sure there's some alumns that ended up that way. Not to mention there's some good prep schools that we should be recruiting out of that are close by.

We'll play that tournament at Bryant in Rhode Island this season, then at Harvard the following season. The only thing we're not doing is making Harvard come to us first. We'll need another New England opponent three seasons from now.

Only team I'd rather see get the death penalty than UConn is Syracuse. Providence, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern and Rhode Island would all be welcome opponents from New England (and we already play Vermont regularly). Maybe UMass, but their program seems a bit sketchy, too.

Vermont- Good AE team that is almost always a contender Albany- Local opponent, perennial NCAA time Stony Brook- another AE team that is usually a contender. Easy drive for LI alums UMass- Short drive, winable A-10 opponent Harvard- not a terrible ride out. Good team. Gets us in the New England market St joes/LaSalle- Winnable A-10 game, gets us in front of Philly kids American/Loyola- gets us in DMV, should be able to beat most years Tournament Guarantee game- gets us money and a chance to see how we stack up against elite teams. I'm not a huge fan of the Fordham or Saint Bonnie's series. Dont see the gain from either of them and I know they have that silly Franciscan cup thing but SBU is driving hours to middle of nowhere for a down opponent.
