Jon RothsteinVerified account @jonrothstein
VCU will host Siena on Friday 11/13/15 as part of its non-conference schedule, source told @cbssports.
The other rumor (not confirmed) is the game at Georgetown will be on Sunday 11/15/15.
So no trip to Cameron indoor stadium against the defending national champion Duke. VCU a very tough game obviously but certainly much more winnable than Duke (they are in transition after losing Shaka Smart to Texas).

Cry Havoc and let slip the Saint Bernards of war. The Shaka-less Rams are upsettable.

Duke players, coaches & fans just all breathed a collective sigh of relief. They really didn't want to have to play Siena, even it was at their home court - for fear of losing.

I heard coach K was trying to get ahold of Mitch for any analysis/info he could provide about Siena, just in case they had to host Siena this fall. I'm telling you teams are not taking us lightly this season and really don't look forward to playing us.

I'm starting to think the whole JO leaving is a media ploy to catch our opponents off guard. JO's probably spending the summer in a NBA centers type camp - all along never leaving the team.
Then come the beginning of the season we find out he's back, lean, mean and out for blood against any Siena opponent. Oh, I forgot to mention, after the NBA summer traing camp they sent him to a brain washing (politically incorrect term) camp to make him the mean & out for blood part.

You know VCU is big time because one of their top returnees has been arrested for punching out a woman (not his girlfriend ).

There are obvious concerns when any student, athlete or not, is involved in serious issues like the one mentioned. It is at least being addressed in a serious manner due to the frequency of cases in society today. With all the variety of problems the program has had in the past 5-6 years, not only would it have been brutal for our program but somehow people would have blamed it all on Jimmy.

It will be interesting to see how VCU recovers from the loss of Shaka and this mess.
