Just wondering, as we use our 20-20 vision, looking back, who were you as a fan, too tough on, and now wish that player had been a part of this past season's team and why? Maybe you were too tough on the player because you didn't feel the player was athletic enough, didn't work hard enough, didn't develop his skill enough, and any other reason. Who would you have added to last season's team if you could work that magic? ?

I am going to kick off this thread by choosing Prosper. He always frustrated me because he was so gifted an athlete, he just seemed to do things so easily, it looked like he needed to increase his focus and effort. In hindsight, I think this is just because he was such an athlete, he could do things easily that others had to really work hard to do. Obviously, a gifted player and a great person, looking back, I have to rank him a lot higher than I did at the time.

I would have to say ryro. I thought he was horrible and had no potential. Turned out to be way off , he was a hardworker and talented, turned out to be one of my all-time favorites. Great kid for future freshman to emulate.

Hoops, I really can't vote because either I never had a negative opinion of any of the nominees or I haven't changed my opinion. But let's see what others have to say.
In a couple days I'll have another idea to post here to burn some time until October that I expect may encourage some interaction. Until then let's see what the members think.

Mike Haddix. Didn't change my opinion of him but this team could've used him.
He was the proverbial black hole with the basketball...only challenged by Anosike in Siena history.

Clarence Jackson, Owen Wignot and Kyle Downey- those guys would have done better under another head coach! Maybe 3 or 4th in the MAAC!?

Without question Ubiles, best player to ever play at Siena. Was such a gifted athlete and did everything so fluidly that we often thought he wasn't working hard. In reality he was a better defender than Siena has ever had and if there was any flaw in his offensive game it was that he was too unselfish.

Moore is my pick. With all the talent around him I didn't give him enough credit. Now I realize he is the one that allowed them to reach their potential.

My choice is Steve Downey. He was so athletic at 7 ft. If he had the passion for basketball that he had for cars he could have carved out a career in the NBA. I respectfully disagree about Edwin being the best at Siena ever. I was to young to see Billy Harrell, but from all accounts he would be my choice with Marc Brown being a close 2nd.
