I should add on last night, TJ Curry—what’s up with him ? He was shooting his mouth off all night to Siena players. And after he made that 3 early in 2nd half to put Marist up 3—he was yakking to Rob all the way down court pounding his chest- ( I mean C’mon act like you’ve made a 3 pointer before) well that lite a fire under Robs ass, 1 min and 3 -3 pointers later Siena was never seriously challenged rest of game

Perhaps he came with a mission to make Siena unhappy as not wanting him in the Lewis package deal, who knows. He looked like a punk then and that persona never changed. Having a 1-win ONLY season doesn't help the element of personal control.

Maybe Curry is still mad at Mitch for not taking him in the package deal. In hindsight if you added him and Lewis to Siena a we would be really tough to beat

Good move on Mitch's and the administrations part

Funny thing is, Mitch might have kept his job if he made this "deal." I don't usually agree with blackmail to get your friend a scholarship, but in this case, Curry > Kyle Griffin....and then add in one of the best wings in the MAAC the last 4 years, and we still might be discussing Mitch right now! lol

I know that Mitch signed Hopper and Hymes very late, but I don't know that we had two to give when Marist did.

If Rob doesn't play we lose. Nice games overall from Long, Wright, and JO. as well. A team effort. I thought we might get to Merill time, then I was just hoping we would win the damn game there at the end. Maybe but Marist does suck. 1-18 and counting. Don't be fooled by the 1-18. Marist has played without point guard all season and Lewis definitely had a bad night. If he got the rolls on some of those open trips to basket, it would have been much tighter. Kid's a player... Pity the team Marist plays next.

Either way it worked out well for Siena. But it might have been nice for Jimmy to have Lewis for a couple of years. He's a good player but is he a winning player? People take shots at Hymes/Poole career record but Lewis career record is abysmal. The game in Potown will be a battle hopefully Marist has a few wins by then because they aren't going to finish at 1 and whatever.

I was overall happy last night. However it drive me, and I think Jimmy, nuts on how many offensive rebounds we have up the last 5-6 minutes when attuned we had the 2 and sometimes 3 biggest guys on the court. He should bring in Ruland just go give a lecture on boxing out 101.

How can anyone use the phrase "it worked out well for Siena" in the same sentence as Mitch. Mitch put the program in a free fall that cost us a move up to the A-10. I'm betting that Siena won't have that opportunity again in my lifetime.

We are 5 &3 over our last 8 games.
The next 3 games agents St. Peter's, Manhattan, and Rider are all winnable.
My gut tells me we will win 2 of the next 3 games which will make us 7 & 4 over 11 games which will position us nicely for a strong finish to the season.

Lewis is a top 10 MAAC player His skill level has shit to do with being a winning player put him on Iona and see what happens ...would he be a winning player then.............. The Marist program has been poorly run can't blame him....too bad they had a few decent starters last year but a horrible coach .... Where do you come up with this stuff ?
