Sounds like Wassef Methnani will not be heading to Louisville. Let's see what the staff can do..... Landing this kid would be a game changer, he's really the type of player we need and are missing..... Penn Nico Methnani Degnan and Oduro or Friday would be a nice lineup once they had a 1/2 dozen or so games under their belt. He would be a great get for Siena but why in the world torture yourselves? SnOwSnOwflake does not land kids like Wassef.

I'm not even sure if we are going to recruit this kid. I think FF has a big lead on anyone, so we'll get to see him a couple times a year

From what some have said on this board, it sounds like the Patsos-Lonergan connection was one of the reasons we were on Jordan Roland. If that's the case, is it possible we could parlay that connection into getting involved with fellow GW transfer Collin Smith?
Smith is a 6-10 big man who just completed his freshman season. He averaged 5.3 ppg and 4.4 rebounds. Looks like he started really strong, with multiple double-digit scoring performances (11 against us, 22 against USF), but fell out of the rotation at the end of the season. Shot 39% from 3 and 47% from the field. He'd have 3 years of eligibility left after sitting out in 2017-18, so he makes more sense than a guy like Roland who would sit 1, play 1, then possibly grad transfer. He could take over at the 4 once Degnan graduates.

Methnani is out. Told our staff IF he goes to the MAAC, it's Fairfield. Still looking for bigger.

Based on the fact that JP moved away from Hitchon to go after a sit-out transfer in Roland, it seems that JP would be comfortable going into the season with the roster as currently constructed.
I'm fine with holding the scholarship for 2018 unless someone who looks really good becomes a possibility. It's probably the right move to hold to the scholarship considering we have 0 seniors on the roster and already have 1 commit. If we don't fill the spot (and even if we do for that matter, though it would be hard to sign 2 players over the limit before the season even begins), every effort should be made to sign Isaiah Moll in the early period for 2018.
