She can't let one go. By the way, Lavon's a PF. KK is a center I have to admit that I believed Lavon to being a PF through last off-season and into the season. However after watching his game... he clearly isn't in the Michael Haddix or Alex Franklin mold. He doesn't really fit the Edwin Ubiles mold either. A position doesn't define Lavon. He is just a really good all-round basketball player. His best attribute is his versatility. PPC had it right Lavon is clearly the starting SF on the team. He might not be the traditional SF we've seen in the past (slasher/three point shooting) but he is very effective playing there. Jimmy wants a big team. I do worry about team speed but we have a lot of options for the coaches to use to combat that.

Right on so many points but you forgot his two weaknesses: He doesn't have the lateral quickness to defend the 3 and; Fouling. He is too important to the team to have on the bench all the time because he can't defend and it kills the team if the bigs are fouling to cover his lapses. I know PPC won't like this and will tirelessly tell me and others that we are wrong but the film doesn't lie...

Agreed. I don't understand why some are so adamant on Siena needing to play a "big" lineup. The team's best players, besides Wright and Bisping, are all 6'4'' - 6'6''. There is more than enough size with Bisping at the 5 and Long at the 4 to win in the MAAC as well as in the OOC as weak as it is. You have Cole, Paige, White, Poole and Oliver who can play the 2/3 and bring to the table skills sorely lacking last season. WB, Wolfe, JO and Silas can fight for the remaining minutes behind Bisping and Long. Keep on reading how most want Patsos to press teams to death and score more, yet want to start the slowest and weakest offensive lineup by going big. This is the MAAC. need to score and in my opinion the strength of the team are all of the players who can play the 2/3. Why have one on the bench at the start of the game just to start a big lineup and have to fight out of a hole most games like last season. I prefer to play Bisping at the 5, Long at the 4 with Wright and Poole in the backcourt and start whoever plays the best at the 3 and come out pressing and attacking and jumping on other teams for a change.

I know PPC won't like this and will tirelessly tell me and others that we are wrong but the film doesn't lie... I think the foul situation will get better with more experience. A lot of those fouls were just freshmen mistakes - sometimes after missing a shot and reaching in 80 feet away from the basket. I think Lavon will start at SF but he'll play both forward positions. I do agree it's important he stays out of foul trouble because we're a MUCH better team when he is on the court!

We will be big and fast because we will be efficient. If you cant defend your position you will sit. The more you can do the more you will play. We are not sacrificing speed for size. Our foul trouble across the board is from aggressive and physical defense. Not the inability to defend... because again if you cant play D you will sit. Patsos will play the lineups that he needs to win based on the matchup. He has alot of options.

That's the way his teams have always played. Tough, aggressive, wear you down, mix in some pressing and occasional trapping. It's why his teams have always fouled a lot. It is also why his teams don't usually get blown out, or blow people out.... It's why his teams are in so many close games.
Tough, hard nosed physical defense and boxing out + push the pace if unforced/flex offense quality shots/mismatch opportunities = 68 ppg and in most games

Its best you stay in or on the bench due to your lack of athleticism. Maybe you would be best at keeping score and counting KKs then be the first to give Paige water during timeouts even if wasnt in the game

As far as Paige, I'm sorry I don't play that way. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Not exactly sure what those two are practicing but I am pretty sure I could pass on observing.
