@ryanarestivo:
If/When Jeff Bower officially goes, the name to keep an eye on is Stony Brook associate HC Jay Young #MAAChoops #AEhoops

Marist really has nobody to blame but themselves. They cheapened out paying Matt Brady...swung and missed badly with Martin (and let him stay on 2-3 years too many) and took a flyer on a former NBA GM (Always a risk he could leave to go back to the NBA). That said I don't know if it's a big loss other than the timing of June... Bower didn't appear to be to be that good of a coach but maybe I'm wrong. Looked like a Louis Orr type of a coach but then again Marist can't attract or afford a top flight coach. I'd call Andy Toole if I were Marist but they are probably too cheap to do so.

MTS, Marist has some pretty deep pockets. In 2011 Dennis Murray was the third highest paid college president in the US (Included deferred compensation) but totaled $2.668 MILLION dollars, they can afford to pay a decent coach.

He does not make anywhere near that salary. He is around the mid 6 figures.

If Marist wants to cheap out they might as well hire Mitch

The point is, they aren't broke, they can pay a coach what the top MAAC teams can pay, they just haven't yet figured out how to find a good one. I am sure Bower didn't come cheap.

Marist has different priorities than Siena- Siena is very much basketball focused while Marist has a broad athletic interests across the board. Foxes have never been a program to fund at higher levels of MAAC in Men's basketball- hell had they paid Brady a few more bucks he would probably still be there

Don't disagree with you Tony, but I doubt that Bower is making "St Peter's wages" either, I would bet he is near the top this year.
