Does Masiello's 0.0 GPA in the Fall and Spring semesters last year hurt Manhattan's APR?

www.nycbuckets.com/2014/06/new-challenges-ahead-manhattan-steve-masiello/“My challenge for this team is are you okay with what we accomplished last year because I’m not, it wasn’t enough,” Masiello said. “Frankly I don’t want to be told how good of a year we had, I want more.” “This team this is going to be the most focused team you’ve ever seen and it’s going to be the most hungry team you’ve ever seen because of everything this team has been put through.”

Why so hungry, is this because they will be going to class instead of the cafeteria?

Why so hungry, is this because they will be going to class instead of the cafeteria? No, they 're claiming they didn't get any respect for what they accomplished and they don 't want to rest on their laurels.

Somehow their accomplishments got overshadowed by some other story? How could that be Steve? How could that have happened? Someone must be too blame. If we could only figure out who.

“These kids never got rewarded for what they accomplished, this became about me and not about them,” Masiello said. “They haven’t got the accolades they deserved. They haven’t been rewarded the way they should, so to them it’s almost like they never did anything and that’s kind of how they feel.” “I’m going to be the most aggressive I’ve ever been in my coaching career,” Masiello said. “This team’s going to be the most aggressive team I’ve ever coached. We’re going to take a negative and make it a positive, I’m going to tell you that right now because this team has been through so much.” “They see what happens when you win and have success, you get treated and you get told how good you are a lot and you get recognized for it. Well that didn’t happen for this team, they never had that. Now I’m not saying that that’s okay, but we’re going to use that’s a big part of our motivation: that we weren’t treated like the champions.” Hey, Steve, maybe your team actually needs to win an NCAA tournament game before you're treated like champions; and not just compete againt Louisville. Heck Siena competed against Louisville too but at least that Louisville team was the #1 overall seed that yr. Maybe Manhattan needs to follow Siena and win a post season tournament to feel like champions.

Aww, poor Manhattan, not getting credit where credit is not due. Well, when the players and their parents decide that it's okay to resume playing for a lying cheating fraud, they can expect to not get credit to some degree. It has been well established that Masiello takes all the credits, of course for work he has not yet done until caught. Collegiately, I think we can all agree he must take some degree of satisfaction in that. After all, he is a bachelor of man, a Master of deceit and a Doctor of documents.

Does this attitude surprise anyone? Deflect attention away from your unethical behavior, direct it towards your accusers, and use it to motivate your team. He learned this technique at the foot of the master, Rick Pitino. At least Rick usually smiles while giving interviews, while Masiello maintains a constant scowl.

He already knows how to play the game.
