Niagara will struggle next year but sometimes it is addition by subtraction. Mason is a talented player who scores a lot but he doesn't make anyone better. I don't think he is a "winning" player. I wouldn't be surprised if Niagara is actually a little better than they were last year depending on who they bring in. But it just shows you how important a coach is. Nothing you can really do to prevent your coach going to Iowa but Niagara low-balled Joe Mihalich and he bailed for Hofstra (where Mason might end up - Green and Tanksley followed JAM to Hofstra). Now Niagara is in a state of turmoil.

His release states he cannot go to another MAAC school or a team on Niagara's schedule next year ( ST Johns)

Word from a good source said the kid and dad are major headaches. Dad calls coaching staff after each game to critique them and coaches from stands often contradicting Thor instructions. Kid was holding captains practices on his own without discussing g with staff too, if you read dad's comments he says "we" a lot like he is the on transfering

I guess a headache for a year is acceptable if it can score 25 a game.

These teams don't know what they're letting themselves in for with the Hitler style father and the ego chest pounding son.

The stuff that happens at Niagara, won't be allowed to happen at a BCS school. He's a one-and-done kid. Any BS from him or his father, and the coach will kick him to the curb. Mason needs to be a good litle boy, and prove he can buy into WINNING, over just scoring, at the big time level. Especially if he wants a shot to play at the next level.
