Tenn is certainly in dysfunction, but some of the quotes from this article remind me of Siena's situation last year. Fan bases can get over the top sometimes.

I saw an article on today's Bleacher Report that Richard Pitino after one good year at Minnesota may be in the mix for the Volunteers. Oh, wait doesn't he have a contract? Ha, ha.

Why would it possibly remind you of Siena?--- Siena had a coach with 3 straight losing seasons, that ran a top mid major into the ground, that couldn't get hired to coach a CYO team vs Tenn coach Cuonzo Martin who had 3 straight winning seasons had success in NCAA's and was good enough to be hired by a PAC-12 program-, its almost as ludicrous as when you tried to compare Fran's record after taking over a downtrodden Iowa program to Mitch's situation at Siena taking over a top mid major. In short nothing in common with two situations-- that's called a "reach"

In short nothing in common with two situations-- that's called a "reach" My comparison was re the new coaching search and not Mitch. People where throwing out Pearl as a possibility and bad mouthing Patsos. Some Siena fans really do believe every coach is just waiting for The Siena job to open up and expect "big time" coaches to beg for the job. Don't get me wrong, Siena is a very attractive position, but not as good as some here would believe. It is a top 100 job but certainly not a destination stop.

A top 100 job is pretty darn good--- should be able to attract a lot of high quality candidates if that is the case.
