I agree a maac championship is possible. I'm talking about outside of conference Yeah cause Butler was horrible. Our identity is not to be athletic right now. But we have an identity. How many good wins did siena get? When they faced athletic teams they generally lost. I don't want to make Brett's thread about this but what I said it's truth. We are adding some athleticism and our more athletic players (freshman) are getting experience. And you are mistaken if you think brandwijk is a typical Vermont big. He is WAY more athletic

Having Brandwijk could, at some point, be almost like having a 2nd Bisping.

Siena needs to work on winning the MAAC first, then they can worry about competing with next level teams.

And Brandwijk isn't THAT athletic. But he looks to shoot. I hope he can contribute next year.

Persoanlly I think if any of the freshmen get much time next year they are going to have to be very very good. Brett obviously played great , as did Poole, Long, Wright – and if Brett is the most improved player in country – Ryan Oliver isn’t far behind, he is another that just keeps getting better the more he plays—and as for Maurice- he might be the unsung hero of this championship. We don’t win it without him, he was the spark on the road and he gave us a nice lift today- kid is so damn tough. JO had his moments and he is looooong … it is going to be tough for a freshmen to break into playing group -- and I hope they do- it will mean they are a really good player

I said at the beginning of this year I was interested to see how the sophomores would do, and I'd say they did pretty well... Congrats Bisping and Oliver! Seriously, while some of you think Mitch left the cupboard bare, I'd say we have talent on this roster. GO SAINTS!!!!! There is talent... we just aren't quite athletic enough to step up to that next level. I don't care athletic or not BISPING is a stud offensively defensively. Love the hustle and heart! Love his game.

Lets talk about we aren't in a few weeks.

Persoanlly I think if any of the freshmen get much time next year they are going to have to be very very good It's all about skillsets. That's how the depth chart is determined. You play both offense and defense well... you're likely a starter or 6th man. After that, it's the best combination of the rest except in match ups. There's an easy route to playing time in the frontcourt. Silas, JO, and Wolfe are all one dimensional players. If Brandwijk comes in working hard, he can be a playing big. In the backcourt, I have no idea. Last few years I felt like I had an inkling of PT. Next year, I don't know. I really like what I've seen and read on Paige. Cole too, if he makes a jump. Oliver playing well. Hymes and White are fairly one dimensional. White has great energy and could improve but I don't see him as a perimeter shooter and if Paige is, tough to see the bigger better shooting guard losing out. Wright, Cole, Poole, Paige, Oliver would be your top 5 backcourt with Hymes and White for certain pressing and speed related matchups. Long will look to perfect the Franklin role which he's essentially already taken on during Oliver's emergence. And then Bisping at center. Then you bring in the rest of the bigs behind those two. Maybe Wolfe makes headway. JO and Silas for shotblocking. Maybe JO makes an offensive leap. Maybe Brandwijk comes in hot and Jimmy gets him playing D. Tough to tell.
