I am hoping for a big crowd in person, but am concerned that the ticket prices online will put some people off. If you search the 'siena sections' 22-24 and try to buy online with fees and taxes it's a little over $50.00 per ticket.
If that is what is holding you back, yesterday, before the ladies game I questioned the people at the ticket window. General admission tickets are $10.00 at the gate and lets face facts, there will NEVER be a sell out in Springfield, so.....
By my calculations, people going to the watch party will be limited by the time driving over and back because by the time you eat and drink off site, it could be equal to the drive over and back in gas and the ticket price.
No offense to Recovery Room, great place, but the kids need all the fannies in the seats that they can get live in MAACachusetts (can't wait to ditch that!).
I for one promise to eat at the Recovery Room next year when the tourney returns to the MAACAlbany!

Yea that is probably the case. But a small group of fans can make a big impact if they want to.

Yeah, not a chance in hell that I'm paying $50 for a ticket tomorrow. Going general admission, $10, and getting as close to the Siena bench as possible.

To further clarify, if you buy a ticket in the Siena Sections at the gate, without taxes and fees I believe the price is around $35.00. Still the $10.00 option is the way to go IMHO.

$10 seat for me too I'll use the other $25 for lunch outside the arena somewhere. Any suggestions?

Feeling better now about hopping off the Yankee Trails bus and getting the $10 tickets...just curious though, is there a 4 tickets for $50 deal or something like that which might include dogs and soda?

Unfortunately they don't open for Saturday lunch. "Session IV" tickets are good for both the Iona-Rider game at Noon and the Siena-Canisius game at 2:30pm, so my plan is just to head into the arena and get some concessions.

My idea was lunch and then the second half of Iona-rider.

There's a decent sports bar w/ good menu on main street near the arena. For $$$ dining there is a decent Italian restaurant a few blocks away (Adolfo's).
These are the 'participating' restaurants for the tournament - not really sure what if any deals there are but there is a print your passport on the MAAC website:
Uno Chicago Grill Riverfront 820 Hall of Fame Ave Springfield, MA 01105
Nadim’s Downtown 1390 Main St Springfield, MA 01103
The Fort/Student Prince 8 Fort St Springfield, MA 01103
Samuel’s 1000 Hall of Fame Ave Springfield, MA 01105 Champion’s (Marriott) 1500 Main St Springfield, MA 01103
Theodores’ 201 Worthington St Springfield, MA 01103
Max’s Tavern 1000 Hall of Fame Ave Springfield, MA 01105 Picks/MVP (Sheraton) One Monarch Place Springfield, MA 01144
Adolfo’s 254 Worthington St Springfield, MA 01103

My idea was lunch and then the second half of Iona-rider. I'm with you Bill. My wife and I are going to catch a little lunch and pre-tune at JT's Sports Pub around 12:30 and catch the second half of the Iona game also. JT's about 500 feet from MASS Mutual.
