Siena is going to have to shoot well. This Q team rebounds very well. Most likely won't be a ton of second chance points. Let's hope siena can hang on the boards. That will go a long way to equalizing this game

For all you guys who thought this was a "downgrade" and "watering down" when they were added to the MAAC... hope you are not counting this as a win in hand. If they commit to hoops like they did in hockey (#3 in the nation after only 9 years as D1) you are not going to want to play them for the next 2 years (the minimum as I have heard before the A-10 is looking to talk to Siena).

(the minimum as I have heard before the A-10 is looking to talk to Siena). What would you say is the A-10's rationale for a minimum of 2 years before looking at Siena? If the A-10 drops down to 12 members this summer, would they avoid reloading to 14 or reload without Siena?

Why won’t we want to play them in next two years? Siena spends more, we have better facilities, we lose nobody this year- add Cole and hopefully two really good recruits Quinny loses Ike ( their best player ) and Shannon ( starting guard) they surely don’t scare me in the least going forward -- having said that I agree they were a good addition to MAAC- they are not afraid to spend-- but don’t get carried away Hock-- I agree tonight will be a tough game, but we are favored tonight and the gap will grow considerably between us and Quinny over next few years. There is nobody in the MAAC we "dont want to see" talk that talk on SPC board not Siena board The fact of the matter Quinny isn't going to want to see Siena over next few years-- as will be the case with most MAAC teams

It could be in the spring (to begin playing in 2015-16) or it could be next year or the year after that but I really believe it's only a matter of time. The Big East can't stand pat with 10 teams not with the money Fox is paying for TV rights and it will be come even more apparent when they only get 2 or 3 teams in the NCAA tournament this year (A10 is probably looking at more). This March could be very interesting once again as far as conference realignment goes.

They would reload without Siena Since you're not the same poster as above, I have to push you to clarify: source or speculation?

I'm pretty sure George Mason was the first team in and once Davidson dropped their demand to have Charleston join with them they became the second team over Siena last spring. If the A10 loses teams and expands (very likely) I'd be SHOCKED if Siena did not get the next call. There are no other programs left for the A10 to take that would make more sense than Siena. You can call me biased but I think it's completely accurate. I am 99.9% sure the next team invite into the A10 is Siena. I may be wrong but I doubt it

When it comes to the A10 it's about three things..
1. Can Siena make more money in the A10 and can the A10 make money on Siena!? YES
2. Can A10 help the " Siena " brand " from a marketing standpoint - YES! ( especially in recruiting )
3. Can the A10 benfit from the Albany media market?! YES
