Beside winning the MAAC, I think finishing 5th-6th is a realistic goal and finishing with a winning overall record would be great. Let's see how the rest of the games go... We're in 6th place now. But there's a big, big difference between 5th and 6th place. The 6 seed has to play 11 on Thursday and 3 on Saturday. The 5 seed matches up against the 4 on Saturday. I wouldn't view 6th place as a disappointment, given the rebuilding project that this program faced. But I'd really really like to see us get up to 5th place and I wouldn't even rule out 4th. We'll see. It's not a big difference between 4th and 5th - other than to say we finished in the top 4. If we finished 6th - you still get a day off until the Quarterfinals if you win and gives you a better chance to add another win or two on the final win total. For a young team with a new coach rebuilding that would be important too. We can't look past Niagara...that's the only game that matters now. Quinnipiac on Saturday will mean much more if we can first beat the Purple Eagles on Thursday and protect the TUC home court.
