Time to make push for top 5.. 5 of next 7 games at home.. have Buffalo trip and away games at Iona and Manhattan out of the way.. have to get off to better starts and I really think Jimmy needs to re-think the starting line up-- its not working. But overall things are good

PG: Wright SG: White SF: Poole PF: Long C: Bisping
Hymes, Silas, JO, Wolfe, Oliver rounds of the top 10
Big game Thursday at home against Niagara...can't take ANY game for granted. Can we keep Mason in check? Would be nice to get a three game winning streak it's been WAY too long.
Let's go Saints!!!

Beside winning the MAAC, I think finishing 5th-6th is a realistic goal and finishing with a winning overall record would be great. Let's see how the rest of the games go...

But overall things are good I agree with the first part, let's try and capitalize on the next 5 of 7, but I'm becoming less concerned with starting rotations. Jimmy will play who ever brings it in practice; who gets hot during games; or due to match-ups. No matter what, players will get their mins. I don't thinks it's that important. I think it's more important to see who's making the effort . Great game from Bisping, Poole, Oliver, Long & Wright.

I hear you on that-- but the team has been getting off to "slow" starts-- against SPC or FF you can get away with that--against better teams not so much.. the big line up is not getting it done 2nd half Bisping played the 5 and Long the 4 and team was much more effective ( Bisping and Poole combined for 28 points in second half

I don't know if today's slow start was due to the bigger line-up, but it was due to the five in the floor not showing as much effort/emotion that's needed on road games. Thank goodness they're a young team & their 1000 fans never got into the game; otherwise I'm not sure we come back in 2nd half.
We played with emotion the 2nd half & their crowd never got going.
I do see your point that the bigger line-up didn't work against Iona either.

I do see your point that the bigger line-up didn't work against Iona either. started slow Vs SPC also and the Iona and Manhattan games- so the big line up has been a slow starter last several games the big line up only has Poole as a shooter.. and with Silas- Brett at 4 and long at 3 we are a sloooooooooooow team. Brett plays worlds better at the 5 than the 4.,.. today he spent entire 2nd half at the 5 and scored the majority of his points. Against teams like SPC and FF you can overcome a slow start-- you get down 10 to say Quinny and its much tougher to come back. I'd like to see Oliver or White in starting line up.. move Brett to 5 and Silas to bench and lets see if team can get off to better starts..I "get" Jimmy plays a ton of people anyway... but the slow starts the last several games is problematic

Just to have a realistic chance at a winning overall record is a positive at this point. Can we go 7-3 in the last 10 games and finish the regular season with a winning record (16-15)? It will be a tall task but possible. Six home games and four road games left. If we can go 5-1 at home (which will be tough) and go 2-2 on the road we get to 12 conference wins. I am hopeful but realistically I will be pleasantly surprised if we can go 7-3. I'd say we'll go 5-5 and at 10-10 probably be in position for 6th. Right now 5 through 10 is pretty bunched up. Quinnipiac won at Manhattan today and both are 7-3. Iona and Canisius tied for first at 8-2. Rider 6-4 Siena 5-5 Monmouth 4-6 St. Peter's 3-7 Marist 3-7 Niagara 3-7

There may be 3 games separating 5th through 10th but there are also 3 games separating 1st through 6th. I guess it just depends upon how you look at it.

For this young team- the Quinnipiac home game is VERY important. A win- will give this team tons of confidence-and send a nice message to the MAAC. GET IT DONE BOYS!

But there's a big, big difference between 5th and 6th place. The 6 seed has to play 11 on Thursday and 3 on Saturday. The 5 seed matches up against the 4 on Saturday. I wouldn't view 6th place as a disappointment, given the rebuilding project that this program faced. But I'd really really like to see us get up to 5th place and I wouldn't even rule out 4th. We'll see.

Five of each team's other nine opponents are identical in terms of home/away games (Fairfield, Manhattan, Canisius, @st. Peter's, @quinnipiac). The other four are as follows: Siena: Niagara, Quinnipiac, Monmouth, @marist Rider: Marist, Iona, @iona, @fairfield
