Brookins and Hymes both played out of position under the old regime and we never got to see them shine. In a pure PG position Wright has it all over both of them. At the 2 either is better than Wright, cause lets face it, he can't really shoot. Agreed Wright is a pure pg and does a great job there...he would struggle if he had to play the 2 or 3 for Siena

This is a positive thread..keep it there...Wright is a very good pg. He is exactly the type of pg to excel in a Patsos offense. That is good for the Saints esp since he is just a freshman.

No momo jones, Scott Machado,Chaz Williams, or Juan ya Green on the schedule. Since you are making comparisons to the other kids, Competition matter.

stop being haters - PPC meant it well. Maybe Jimmy said he could playe the 1,2, and 3. Patsos is the coach and knows best. If a 6-6. 235lb guy can play point in the MAAC, why can't a 6-0. 170lb guy play the 3.

What's your point ... none of those guys, except maybe Williams, were known as great defenders? Wright's freshman stats compare well with Ronald Moore, who is Siena's best pure point in recent memory. (Brown and Bennerman were better all around players but both looked to score first, Moore is the best pass first point guard Siena has had since I've been following them.) Moore did it by not just passing the ball but also by controling tempo ... that is the kind of guard that Wright is. And Moore did it with guys like Haddix, Ubiles, Franklin, Hasbrouck and Fisher catching the passes. I don't believe Wright's surrounding pieces are in the same conversation as what Moore had around him. Wright has a long way to go to match Ronald Moore but I've seen enough this year to believe he is capable of having a Ronald Moore like career.

I dont want to speak for ppc, but I would guess she was comparing him to Brookins whom many say was a SG in a PG's body. Wright is a very good PG but does not have the size or game to play the 2 or 3. He's deceptively quick but not blazing and he is deceptively strong but not powerful.

Wright has it all over Brookins above the shoulders. I couldn't agree more about Rak destroying Burdine, who could have helped us immensely this year. I expect Marquis to labor in the gym in the off season on his free throws and outside shooting.
