Outclassed again…it stinks playing these games with zero upperclassmen.

10+ blocks against a BE team is pretty impressive. Tall task for the Saints with this matchup. Good warmup game for the next 2 games.

Foul shots were bad tonight. Glad Reid showed up, some positives.

We did cover the spread, so there's that.

Outclassed again…it stinks playing these games with zero upperclassmen. And no muscle. They looked like a lineup of linebackers and running backs with the speed of wide receivers. But some positives…Ducharme showed what he can do, the zone looked good.

Shooting has been my biggest let down so far this year. Nice to see Ducharme get something going tonight.

Xavier is good. They should be ranked in the top 25 next week and they’re probably top 4 in the Big East.
The positives:
Siena had 11 blocks so they can protect the rim against the MAAC and other midmajors that could bode well.
Ducharme had a good game vs his old team. Maybe this will get him going.
Siena competed for about 30 minutes despite Xavier hitting everything from three.
The negatives:
FT was awful you can’t win shooting like that.
Shoats after three outstanding games has come back to earth we need for him to get out of this funk and play like he did the first 3 games.
We still have a bunch of holes on the roster. It’s obviously much improved but GMAC needs 1-2 more players for star power.
3-2…. On to Florida and Miami of Ohio. Let’s get back on track!

Well not a surprise tonight. Let’s see how Siena does Monday and Tuesday in Florida. I still think come MAAC play we will hold our own and be in the upper half of league standings.

Foul shots were bad tonight. Glad Reid showed up, some positives. 45% free throw shooting ?? Worst I Can remember it must improve.

We missed 11 FT, if those are made that's 11 less fast break attempts. I get what you are saying but some of those fast breaks don't happen if we make our free throws. That being said getting back on defense after a miss has to be better.

Come on, how many fast break ponts come on missed FTs. Lol. FTs are free points but nobody makes all of them. 70% would be acceptable.

Outcome of this one to be expected. It's what you get when a mid level, limited experienced MAAC team takes on an experienced and talented Big East team. Musketeers have a roster of superior talent and more athletic players. I continue to be impressed by Siena's no quit, gritty style of play. I thought the Saints played hard the entire game. They were simply over matched. Gerry has these guys believing and playing a full 40 minutes. This will only help them as the season progresses.
On a similar note WVU spanked Iona 86-43.

Different level of athlete tonight. They were too strong, too fast.
Ducharme made some shots against the team that didnt want him, so he played with a purpose. Lets hope he can have that same energy vs Marist in February.
My guy Brafford got in, and I liked what I saw. IF GMac figures out we need to play more zone, he'll getmore minutes in the middle because Carey seems to be foul prone, but I like that he contests anything inside.
Shoats struggled again offensively, but he is a GREAT defender. He's struggling with when to pass, and when to try and finish after he penetrates.
My favorite takeaway from tonight was Doty. He showed why he was a coveted recruit at our level. His athleticism really showed tonight, and he made a few shots. He could be that extra impact perimeter player we need in March.
LaPhonso Ellis described our frontcourt as, "really skinny." Not having an older, strong inside kid is a weakness we'll have to get over (more zone?) as the year goes on.
