Less than 500 portal entries so far, probably another 700+ more to come.

I can name 3 you wont see in the portal Courtney, Winters and Coyle. Why would they leave? D-2 players getting 30 min a game in D-1. They think they're in Disneyland. Cortney detractors won't quit. ESPN+ announcer indicated he was the only Saint with a positive Assist to Turnover Ratio. Surely it was his fault that four scholarship Guards couldn't stay healthy.

I don't think that they are "Courtney detractors". It is not his fault that he had to play major minutes against competition that is superior. It is to his credit that he played so well given that he was overmatched most nights and was at times on the court with an array of other non-DI talent at multiple positions. He is a valuable member of the team, but not as a starter or a scholarship player.

Yeah, he had 63 assists and 55 turnovers. A HORRENDOUS ratio for a point guard. Again, not his fault he was forced into a 35 min a game situation, but if you want this program to win again, his minutes need to drop to Carms old playing days.... 5-6 min a game.

On the topic of assists and turnovers, how about that Sean Durugordon had 9 assists to 40 turnovers! That is putrid for a big stiff center. Gio was at least 19 assists to 53 turnovers. For more context, Sean had the same number of assists as Sveinn and only two more than Max! And those two combined had less than his 40 turnovers. Do people really want that sort of guy back?

I had to dig into this some more so looked at the top 500 scorers in the nation. I could find exactly three that had a worse assist to turnover ratio than Sean and one more that was in the vicinity. Clarence Daniels - New Hampshire - 13 assists to 77 turnovers for a 1:5.9 ratio Daniel Batcho - Louisiana Tech - 12 assists to 57 turnovers for a 1:4.8 ratio Yohan Traore - UCSB - 11 assists to 51 turnovers for a 1:4.6 ratio Durugordon at 1:4.4 ratio Chad Venning - St Bonaventure - 18 assists to 74 turnovers for a 1:4.1 ratio Next closest was around 1:3.3 Here are the FG% of those 5 players for comparison: Batcho - 59.0% Traore - 58.3% Venning - 52.9% Daniels - 45.8% Durugordon - 41.3%

His turnover / assist numbers were better at AP in the ASUN with double the amount of games, oddly enough it was on another bad team with 3 conf 6 overall wins. Maybe he pressed too hard trying to do too much. This Siena team was close to one of the worst rosters in D1. Maybe with better players around him he’s not quite as bad as this years numbers showed. He’s a descent rebounder and showed he can score at times. He needs a better supporting cast around him and needs to play with more control.

Sven would struggle in some D3 conferences. 2023 the ASUN was a better conference than the MAAC coming in at a 17 NET vs the MAAC at 24th this season.

The NIL collective is getting decimated between Men's and Women's basketball. They chose the correct name, the Saints are Marching On... right out of Loudonville!
