According to Carm's post game. Zek told him he couldn't play in the 2nd half because his knee hurt. Maybe it did, maybe not. Well, that should mean one open scholarship for next year... Probably about 10 of them!

Was a bummer iceman hit that 3 at the end. 47 points would have been a new low this season and 44 would have been the largest margin of defeat this year.

Carm sounded like a defeated man on the radio postgame. Said Tekin refused to go back in the game in the 2nd half. No injury excuse. "We cant win when they make 8 of their first 9 3"s", "We cant have 21 tunrovers" "We need to defend" WE know all this, but besides Sean, there's no talent on this team, and YOU recruited all of them. IF SD didnt play tonight, it might have been a 60 pt loss. Whats its going to take for the higher ups to wake up? They cant see whats happening on the court? MSM is CRUSHING Marist right now, and they come in Sunday. Can Carm avoid the axe if they are somewhat competitive again? If its another 20pt blowout, could this be the Monday a change HAS will finally be made? I think we are at the point where losing by 20 isn't considered a blowout anymore. It's being competitive. So sad. I figured out the strategy here. 1) Play possum and get the 11 seed in the MAAC tournament 2) Break out the plays and the game plan they have secretly been working on all year 3) Win 4 games in the MAAC tournament and be the first team to win 3 regular season games to go the NCAA tournament 4) Be heralded as a miracle worker and get all kinds of press for the college leading up to the team's game in Dayton 5) Beat some team in Dayton that also has no business being in the NCAA tournament 6) Celebrate an NCAA tournament victory 7) Extend the head coaches contract 8) Unveil the Carm statue in front of the ARC in the Fall of 2024 This is going to be like old school Hulk Hogan. Siena will keep getting beaten on then get stronger and stronger before letting loose with the big boot, a leg drop and a pin! It's not Hulkamania... It's Carmania brother!!! I think I am going to get 4 "Carmania" tank tops printed up. One for each of the MAAC tournament game and proceed to tear them off at the end of each win. * This post was not conceived by the use of mind altering substances, although it was strongly considered once the game deficit hit 40. It's is also likely that accurate weather forecasting by a groundhog will occur before the scenario outlined above. First you need to wake up and say your prayers, then take those vitamins, then you need to train hard. Meet up with my brother Ric Flair to learn how to be styling and profiling you enter the court in style. Then have Triple H recruit you some talent, but keep Vince away. Then you need some real Inspiration, first I’ll flex my 23 inch pythons but for the real inspiration, we get our friend Legacy to get FANIMAL out of retirement, he gets the crowd going and we bring back Mike Deane and Jimmy Patsos to rev the team up and then serve as guest announcers. Sorry still in first cup of coffee

After another beat down dropped us from 352 to 358 in updated NET rankings. Winless Detroit Mercy and Mississippi Valley occupy the bottom two spots. 3-win IUPUI and 2-win Coppin State are the other two behind our Saints. Stonehill, Hampton, Buffalo, and VMI are all 1-win teams ranked ahead of Siena.

There's losing and then there's being completely in over your head. We fit into the second category, time after time this year.
No way a change isn't made after this season--maybe sooner than that. The other option would be to retrench to D2 status, which I don't think the administration and alumni are prepared to do.

Carm very cryptic on Eley. Mark Singelais @marksingelais As for Michael Eley, who missed his fourth straight game with a hamstring injury, Maciariello said. "No idea about Michael. I'm hopeful he'll play sooner than later, but I don't know." Maciariello said he "can't speculate" if Siena will have him back this season. "I hope we do." Not unlike his comments on Owens.

A lot of other sports are doing well at D1 level so maybe we fix the real problem

It is obvious that Carm is putting out players on the court some of whom were decent HS or prep players, maybe even some who were good prep players, but even good prep players are no match for DI athletes. Even MAAC level DI players. There might be four players on the roster who meet the DI standard of play and a couple of those would be role players even in the MAAC. If Carm was a brilliant coach he couldn't make this group competitive. He has shown that he is less than a mastermind and the results cannot be disputed. If he inherited this roster there would be a case for making a legitimate excuse, but he constructed this group over two years. Total failure. I wish this was not true, but it is a fact.

How about a special tournament for the 4 worst teams in the rankings to see which is really the worst?
