Seemed like this was blown out of proportion. If this took place before a game in a hype circle there would have been some recording of it. Bring race into this is what's wrong with society these days. It's 2022 not 1962. No it's not 1962 and I'm happy that this young man is being kept in his position. He certainly seems to be a sharp and intelligent coach. I'm glad that individuals did step up to put pressure on the school to keep him. With that said, if you don't think that race was a major factor in on how he got his job back, you must be living with your head in the sand. I hope he has a lot of success, just not against our Saints. Please help me get my head out of the sand and explain to me why he wasn't fired because he's black.

I'm not saying it is what happened but it's supposed to be equal opportunity... doesn't mean that one race is supposed to get preferential treatment over another. I don't know the particulars, but there are certain offenses that rise above the "three strikes and you're out" mentally. I would think that striking somebody would be one of them. Again, I'm not passing judgment either way because I don't know what actually happened... but there is no good reason he is still in his job if he actually struck a player (or anyone).

Its good to hear it was an "isolated incident!" lmao The "special group" that demanded "transparency" from the University during the investigation, yet Killings refused to answer reporters questions??
Chalk up another win for Alice Green. Shocked she didnt have Al Sharpton at the Ft Orange Club. Guess she didnt need the juice.

Good place to get some boosters and pump some money to the program.

I didnt know he was a Fort Orange member. Disregard my earlier take. He can hit as many players as he wants.

In the end this bombshell story became a dud. We will never know the whole story and truth of what really happened and how the University ultimately settled on the punishment (or lack thereof) that they settled on with Killings.

Might know more if the offended player decides to sue. Coach and player had to have a very good prior relationship for the kid to come with him from Marquette. Listening to or watching a few UA games the kid was in the playing group even as a walk on.

Listening to or watching a few UA games the kid was in the playing group even as a walk on. The kid in question was a very good HS player at a powerhouse program (Archbishop Stepinac). Im pretty sure he turned down a few low D-1 offers to go as high as possible and Wojo took him as a walk on at Marquette. Then when Killings got a job at a MM, he went with him for what Im sure was a promise at some money down the line. When he entered the portal and all this sh!t was hitting the fan, Im guessing he and his parents, probably felt like Killings would get fired. Now that he didnt, a lawsuit wouldnt be that farfetched. I dont know the kid or his family, so I dont know where they want this to go. They could take the high road. and just want their son to move on with his education and basketball career somewhere else. Im sure UAlbany wants this to go away, but it wont. This incident will follow this guy around for the rest of career.

Well Norman Dale's past followed him, but it ended up okay in the end. ;-)

Well Norman Dale's past followed him, but it ended up okay in the end. ;-) Yeah, he got Jimmy Chitwood a great player to come back and knew his X's and O's in how to win using the "picket fence". Today I caught a lot ofa 1960 movie called Tall Story featuring Anthony Perkins and a before Hanoi Jane Fonda who looked damn good in her cheerleader outfit. As a bonus TCM followed the movie with newsreels of games in the 1956 NIT. Louisville, Dayton, Xavier and St. Francis of Brooklyn were among teams shown. I think the NIT might have had more prestige than the NCAA tournament back then.
