Everyone of us college hoops fans know that it really comes down to one thing - March Madness! Mid January - only 6-7 weeks until the tourneys!!! It looks like at this point that grabbing a #2 or a #3 seed in the MAAC tournament will be a real key to March success. Here is what I am throwing out there - these are the teams that look to be in contention for those two spots - Siena, Monmouth, St. Peter's, and Marist. The "great thing" about the start to the season is that the Saints now own two wins in this "mini conference". Two more wins against this group might just go a long way toward locking up one of those seeds. Anxious to get MTS's take on this!!!

When Siena finishes #1 seed for the third straight year; Coach Carm better get Coach of the Year because he deserved it each first the past two years as well. JMO |

I know it’s early but Siena is in sole possession of 2nd place at this stage.
If St Peter’s stats are up dated we’re both 3-1 but we hold the head to head tie breaker.

Bill, it is ALWAYS way too early for a player or coach to look past the next game ( you are right) , but for fans , or at least for this fan, it makes a whole lot of fun to dream and look at potential matchups!!! I think it is way too early to look past the next game. Bill, it is ALWAYS way too early for a player or coach to look past the next game ( you are right) , but for fans , or at least for this fan, it makes a whole lot of fun to dream and look at potential matchups!!! Go Saints! I don't disagree, but I am more cautious and take one game at a time. On the plus side this week's MAAC Monday has Siena second to Iona in the MAAC power rankings. That should add to the dream. ;-) |
