Nice move by Carm to go zone-- and for all the shit Gaines takes from you guys, he came up big at line and defensively , he tries to do too much sometimes, but he played extremely well down stretch. Rebounded, played D, give us some offense and most importantly hit his free throws. Any road wins in MAAC are sweet- being down 18 points at one time makes it sweeter. Defense was great, forced a lot of turnovers, and once Marist got flustered they had some silly unforced turnovers.

Gaines playing like a big boy down the stretch!!! Yes he did. Great defense and playing within himself on offense.

20 turnovers by them vs 9 for us is a huge, huge deal…
That has been our big problem all year.
And loved 1-3-1 look.

Down 17 with 11:48 left...it was all Saints from that point on!!! Awesome win!!! Anybody have the time left when we went to the 1-3-1?? Had to be close to the 11:48 mark. Happy Birthday, Colby Rogers. Great day to be a Saint!! I was busy early this evening and turned it on at just this point. So I got to see the non ugly part of the game. What a come from behind victory and throwing the zone at Marist really turned things around. Carm might not be as bad a coach as some have implied. I never doubted his ability and he showed tonight that he can adapt as needed to get the win. Hitting the free throws certainly helps as well. This team proved they believe in the system and have no quit in them. Great team effort.

Haven't read any posts, but that was a seriously ballsy comeback and great adjustments by Carm and the staff. Huge win coming from where they were.

still a work in progress, and not saying anything other than they are finding ways to win.............. but 2 OT losses that clearly Siena blew leads late they should not have and they are basically 8-4 overall, plus 4-0 in the MAAC.........now a week off to prepare for a messy game with Mas....... First 4 games - 0-4 -94 point differential Last 8 games - 6-2 +34 point differential (both OT losses) Carm has done a great job. Going to the zone tonight won the game. Marist had no answers for it and we turned them over. Carm is growing as a coach in game and his staff has upped their games as well. Siena was down 50-33. They outscored Marist 34-10 the last 12 minutes. That's impressive.

thx Siena7127 - glad it's not a re-injury of his groin...(the announcers never mentioned it). Love, love the never-say-die attitude of this team

I don't know what you guys were worried about. That was basically my point in the 1st half. I got tired of all the negativity and had to stop reading/posting and just had to focus on the game and wait for Siena’s move (comeback). I might have been a little worried if we were down by 14 with a min left in the game; but not 30 mins left.

For fun, go look at the win probability chart on ESPN...showed 98.8% for Marist at the 12 minute mark

Just like I said we’d come back and win this 😉 Huge defensive effort. Big win on the road! Funny, I thought I said it first. 🙂

Look no further than each teams freshman guard. Ituka is built like an NFL RB and Im afraid of McCollum getting hit on a ball screen. Thank God their best PG (Sullivan) is still on the Covid list. He's the fastest kid on their team. Cele and Imoh are two MEN coming off their bench. Game announcers said Sullivan is on an indefinite suspension for violation of team requirements. Bad boys are always good players. Sometimes it's the reverse of that .

Marist with 20 turnovers! The zone won this game. Plain and simple. Hope we see more of it. We made our free throws. yes we did. the zone won the game though.
