I'll go too. I've been to plenty of events since covid19. It's quite simple follow the guidelines or stay away. Then what was that comment about 'both sides' staying home? I'm not on either side but obviously we have some here who are batching about it. I'm vaccinated and wear a mask in some places wear its required or suggested.

No, Scott is right. This shit shouldn’t be on the main board. I almost responded to the first hint of idiocy on this thread and I refrained. I wasn’t so disciplined after the second (less subtle) hint of the same. People come here to read and get news or discussion about Siena basketball. This devolved and I have my share of responsibility for that. Really a good thing that I don’t do social media. It’s hard to NOT respond to such inaccurate BS.

I went to Madison Theater for trivia on Friday, Glenville Oktoberfest on Saturday and then back to Madison Theater for the Bills game on Sunday. I'm most definitely not sitting at home. It would just be sooooooo incredibly nice to discuss Siena basketball without bringing in politics. The politics I have seen on here is really the #1 driver on why I didn't renew season tickets and that sucks. Scott just don’t read the posts. It’s not that difficult. It started as a reasonable post, it clearly should have been moved to Smack Talk along time ago. I read the posts in the main forum and avoid the others. This failure by the admins is pretty bad.

For the record, I hate wearing my f’ing mask too. But I regularly offer to wear it places if it helps people feel more comfortable. I wish more people would think of others instead of just themselves. The world would be a better place. In fact my favorite hobby recently re-instituted mask mandates. I’m bummed but I understand and will return when they lift them because while I’m willing to wear them for short periods of time, I hate wearing them for prolonged periods of time so I just avoid those places and look forward to the time when I don’t need to.

Scott, I’ve had my issues with the admins here in the past but in all fairness, this thread only started devolving a little while ago and I’m assuming the admins haven’t been on to read it yet….and when they do, it’ll be moved.

I know you’re mostly kidding but you just illustrated the biggest problem this country has very eloquently. If you like a person, you agree with everything he says. If you dislike a person, everything he says or does is terrible.

I do, however, try to consider others as much as possible. If that makes me self-righteous in your view, I can live with that.

I can’t wait for the season to start.
I for one am glad to be able to watch Siena in person as opposed to on-line or TV.
See you at the games.

Anybody care to guess on average attendance numbers for the season?

There will be at least 30 or more (parents and kids) that will now likely pass on the game with Saint Rose...the negative covid test for those over 5 is an over reach IMO

Actually these rules are less restrictive then attending an outdoor or indoor event on campus … I was concerned that a social distancing component might have been included Fans of Siena Women bball better call Walgreens to get their shot

The way I look at it is first it's a NYS Policy not Siena's. Second, I've been waiting for over a year to go to another game in person so personally I'm looking forward to it. I don't like to wear masks just as much as the next person but for a lousy 2 hours I can suck it up and just do it. It's really not a big deal. As for the kids, they have to wear masks in school all day so what's the difference. I think the lousy part is the kids need testing before coming to the game. That to me is crappy. Parents know when there kids are sick and most sensible parents won't bring their kids to a game if they are sick. I'm more concerned about the lines getting into the arena between showing vaccination status, negative tests, and your tickets which is also going to be electronic. I can see a very slow process. I know they are opening the doors 90 minutes ahead of time but who really is going to get there that early. Just be glad we can go to the games this year and come out and support the team.
