I'll post this here without opinion. With opinion it would have to be on Smack Talk. I received (I guess as a season ticket holder) the initial spectator policy for men's basketball games. They follow the State Health Department's guidelines for indoor events of 5,000 attendees or greater.
Arena capacity limited to 7,146.Although State guidelines do not have capacity restrictions. Vaccination passports or negative tests will be needed. Children over age 5 will need negative test results. Children over age 2 will need to be masked unless eating or drinking. The guidelines don't indicate how many booster shots are needed to be considered fully vaccinated. To check everyone's papers doors will open 90 minutes before game time. No mention of Rest Room restrictions.

Capacity is always 7,146 and there is no UA game so nothing different there.

You have to go in your pants, lol
But seriously nothing too surpising. Boosters won't factor in. Very few are even able to get them.

It’s going to make it difficult for my wife and I. Three young kids. I’m not happy about it, but I’m sure a lot of the old fools on this site are ecstatic. Total insanity.

Of course the old fools don't care they don't have to wear a mask, lol but probably still will like their fearless "leader". Siena is in a tough spot. I'm just glad it will be mostly normal. But young families probably won't be at as many games which is too bad. No way I'd mask my kids.

The initial Siena Men’s Basketball Times Union Center Policy is as follows: Vaccination or Negative Test · Fully vaccinated individuals must present proof of full vaccination status through paper form, digital application, or the State’s Excelsior Pass upon entering the Times Union Center. Full vaccination status is defined as having completed the COVID-19 vaccination series at least 14 days prior to the date of the game. · Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals must present proof of an FDA or DOH authorized negative PCR test result collected within 72 hours of the game, or a negative antigen test result collected within six hours of the game, upon entering the Times Union Center. This applies to all individuals aged five or older. · Unvaccinated children under the age of five may accompany an adult who has provided either proof of full vaccination status or a recent negative test result. Masks · Masks are strongly recommended for fully vaccinated individuals, and are mandatory for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals. · Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals may only remove their masks while seated and actively eating or drinking. · The mask requirement applies to all individuals aged two and older Social Distancing and Capacity Restrictions · New York State Department of Health COVID-19 health and safety guidance does not currently include social distancing or capacity restrictions for events, including large-scale indoor events. Tickets to the Saint Rose exhibition are included in your season ticket package.

Just what is your resentment against us "old fools". All we did was support the Indians/Saints for 40,50 or in my case over 60 years both moraly and financially so that you can now enjoy them.

If you read the rest of his post (obviously you’re not referring to Gorvy), as well as many of his other brilliant insights, it’s clear that he is “challenged.” I find its best to leave those that like to ramble in alternate realities alone and not take their ramblings seriously.

Resentment toward the old fools? The vaccinated that are angry at the unvaccinated? I understand the anger - Joe, the king of old fools, Biden. We will have children that will have to be tested and have to wear masks. For who? You old fools. That’s who. Do you support the policy?

Simple answer to both sides. Stay home and watch on TV. Streaming has made it simple to watch all games, home and away.

Obviously this thread will be moved, as it should but some of you people need a get a better grip of reality. I’m not commenting on Biden or the previous thing that was in office but to “blame” COVID mitigation strategies on any politician is 100% moronic if the politician is following what SCIENTISTS are recommending. Just because your politics are more consistent with the last idiot (who actually didn’t have politics…or could spell politics), who governed based on what was best for himself and didn’t follow science (again…don’t think he could even spell science), none of us should be blaming any politician as long as they are following the recommendations of the scientists. Now if a politician went rogue and claimed he/she knows better than the medical community and you wish to believe that, well there’s not much I can tell ya. Yeah, the situation sucks. Getting slightly better but still sucks. Pretending it doesn’t exist because it’s more convenient for you today (might kill ya tomorrow), is an interesting way to live.

Papi you should concentrate your efforts on solving the problems in your sad life. The old folks like yourself don’t have to wear masks assuming you are vaccinated. Young kids will have to be tested before each game at a cost and wear masks. Stop your foolish comments. If possible.

Scientists are like basketball coaches they run the gamut from outstanding to horrible. Guess what we've had for almost two years now? If you allow them to make decisions you'll spend the rest of your life in a bubble.
