Nice to hear some reminders of the past.
I do believe that the Rats, being the primary tenant of the arena (40 - 50 home games per season), had scheduling priority.
I seem to remember a number of weekend nights that would have been great draws for Siena during their co-tenancy.
Go Saints!

MAAC went Fri/Sun pairings for travel partners within the league years ago. I know it left Sat nights for the Rats.

A Ricky Martin Concert took priority over an NIT game with Penn State that would have been played in Albany if the Knick schedule permitted it. The Knick generally bent over backwards to meet our needs - Georgia Tech on a Wed afternoon is the best example, IMO, of that cooperation...our fan base and arena were big time favorites with the then NIT... Concert was probably scheduled for 6 months. NIT possible home game, 6 minutes. Thank you Captain Obvious...

Thank you Captain Obvious... Yeah MP but Ricky Martin? Yup - there was a fair number of us that went to Happy Valley for the game - I think Penn State was smart in not adjusting to an alternate date and coming to Albany - the ghosts of the YellowJackets were known to haunt the then Knick...got to meet Joe Paterno just before the game started - one of the kids working the game told us which door and when he would make his appearance - that was back in the day when he was a candidate for canonization in HV...
