Bahahaha a few loony picks in there. The last one is more like it. These are just picks. If Indian Saint and MTS pick Siena 1st does that make other picks any less loony? Any reasonable pick for Siena would be 4th or 5th based on what they lost and all the uncertainty of newcomers. A plus .500 MAAC record is what I'm looking at. 11 to 14 wins in conference.

I'm more looking at the wild swings for most of the teams. Siena 2nd to 10th, rider same but yeah just picks.

Sweeeny's picks are pretty good, with all the turmoil and transfers harder than normal to pick. Only pick I'd quibble with is Niagara at 9th - I like Paulus, but I get some of those picks in the middle will be "toss" up
Siena is hard to predict, after two years and two straight MAAC regular season titles I think Carm deserves the benefit of the doubt and 2nd pick is justified. Our biggest question mark is PG play, if we are solid there I like our chances at a top MAAC finish. We have some talent, how it all fits together remains to be seen, but I have confidence in Carm

I like the talk of the cohesiveness of the team in the early practice. However under the pressure of game conditions when someone does not receive a pass when they think they should have, or didn't start when they think they should have been a starter, etc. and that cohesiveness can change on a "dime". In practice, one forgets that there are 10 starters. However it seems promising that this team may become a dangerous team as the season progresses.

You ALWAYS have that concern about selfishness on a team - even on a seemingly cohesive team. It all comes down to the true personalities and how a coach handles everything from day one - and I like how Carm has done things so far. He has a big challenge with so many new comers - including older guys from established programs. But I trust his character/integrity, judgement and intention.

I think a lot depends on if Platek is really a done deal. If so, I like Siena as the second choice and don't find Iona an overwhelming favorite. Without him it will be more of a battle for 2nd and more difficult to overtake Iona. Definitely agree that Carm goes on the hot seat with a 10th place finish but think that is the case for any Siena coach that isn't in their first season.

As unpopular is this may be, you also have to really wonder what a Platek addition does to the current cohesiveness.

A 4th or 5th prediction is fair I can also see predicting second. Lindys and Althons just didn’t do any homework they saw we lost the top 3 scorers and dropped us low. Monmouth 11th? Cmon. BTW you said we’d be .500 in the MAAC but expect 11-14 conference wins pretty sure that’s over .500 and well over it if Siena wins 12-14 MAAC games in a 20 game league season.
