Why don’t the other MAAC men’s teams have radio link broadcasts of their tournament games like Siena has. I tried to go to Iona, Quinny, Manhattan and Fairfield’s team websites and none have listen to games like Siena has. Why is that? The same reason most of them only draw 1000 fans at home games. No one cares.

So what seed will Iona get in the tourney? Pitino bump to 13 seed? Their NET was very close to Siena so I expect they will be in the same spot, likely a 14 but could wind up a 15. Fairfield would certainly be PIG bound.

I haven't been following other conferences but they seem like the definition of a 16 seed, maybe 15 pending other conferences

People love to say this but can you show me actual examples? Lunardi had an excerpt from his book on ESPN.com the other day discussing this and how people always assume him and the committee are manufacturing matchups but that it is never actually the case, people are just very good at creating storylines for the matchups that occur naturally.

Nope. Not worth researching. I said I THINK. I know there's been controversies and questions in the past. I'm not saying they don't do their best but it is DEFINITELY subjective. Until is it is TOTALLY objective - based STRICTLY on numbers - not sure anybody can say otherwise. And if there's a tie or really close and it comes down to Rick Pitino or a random coach from a lesser league, it is MY opinion they will go with the more influential name. We can disagree - it's not a big deal and not that worth it to me.

Long story short, with everything else the committee has to worry about they would only make their job more difficult if they started to consider off the court issues and manufacture matchups: www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/31010114/debunking-ncaa-tournament-myths-why-committee-really-care-playing-your-rival

Fran will get revenge on Slick Rick for keeping Siena out of the Sweet 16 in 2009.
