There is a cluster of teams with just 6 wins (Iona, Canisius, Fairfield, and Quinnipiac) and one with 5 wins - the Jaspers (below them all is 4 win Rider)
So, looking at the mini-conference concept of the four teams with 6 wins:
Canisius - has a record of 3-1 vs. the mini conference ( 2 wins vs. Quinny and a split with FF) Fairfield - has a record of 3-3 vs. the mini conference ( split with Iona, Quinny, and Canisius) Quinny - has a record of 2-3 vs. the mini conference (split with FF, lost twice to Canisius, and defeated Iona) Iona - has a record of 1-2 vs. the mini conference (split with FF and a loss to Quinny)
Manhattan has 5 wins and they split with Quinny and with Iona ( should they join the mini conference by picking up one win over these next two weekends.)
Who Do They Play?
Canisius - plays Niagara and Siena twice each Fairfield - plays the Jaspers 2 times Quinny - plays the Red Foxes twice and St. Peters twice Iona - is done Manhattan - plays Siena and Fairfield twice each
So, IF Manhattan can pick up a 6th win over the next two weekends and join the mini conference, it would be likely that Iona would fall to be a 10 seed (which is what someone said the Gael fans are predicting), but lots could change (including who they play if another team goes on pause!)
MTS - please check my data, as I know you are on top of all of this!!!!

Iona could finish last if rider goes 3-1 in games against St. Peter's and monmouth.

Iona could finish last if rider goes 3-1 in games against St. Peter's and monmouth. Better chance of Iona playing their remaining games with Pitino suiting up and taking on his opponents 1 on 5 than of Rider winning 3 of those 4.

Normally I would agree but the Quinnipiac series sure makes it look like Rider has already checked out on the season.

Rider lost to Iona twice so likely they would need to get to 7 to pass Iona. Was it just last year (year before?) that all teams could have finished 10-10 absurdly late into the season.

This is complex. I just reviewed the MAAC's tie-breaking system, and if I am reading it correctly, they use the "mini conference" concept with the number of wins determining a winner and ties in that mini-conference being broken by records vs. highest seeded teams. So, IF - the four teams with 6 wins finish the season with 6 wins (meaning Siena beats Canisius twice, the Jaspers beat Fairfield twice and leapfrog the six win teams, and Quinny loses at Marist and twice to St. Peters) - so if that happens, Within the mini conference, Canisius would have 3 wins, Fairfield would have 3 wins, Quinny would have 2 wins, and Iona would have 1 win. So, that would mean Canisius and Fairfield would be the 7 and 8 seeds (depending on that tie-breaker), Quinny would be the 9 seed, and Iona would be the 10 seed (with Rider the 11 seed if the Hawks beat them twice next weekend.) Simple, right???

The best case scenario for Iona is if Rider can pull off an upset of the Hawks and move into the 6 win mini-conference, as Iona beat the Broncs twice, raising their win total in the mini-conference to 3.

Two upsets and Iona finishes last. Hey rider has won 3 out of the last four half's of basketball so they could still go 3-1
