Sounds like a real team player and future contributor. But I don't see where they're going to find a lot of minutes for him this season with Stormo and Curry both getting waivers. Suddenly there's a glut of players in the frontcourt. Same goes for Kwiecinski, who really needs to work on his body.
It's actually kind of odd that in a program looking to play 4 guards that they loaded up on so many 4s and 5s, many of whom aren't shooters, so it's not like they're versatile. They've got Golson, Kwiecinski, Young, Curry, and Stormo, with Arrington on the way. Of the six, Kwiecinski is the only one with any sort of inside outside game who can play as a big guard. The rest are all pure interior big men. Where are the minutes for all these dudes?

Lot of options and adjustments possible based on matchups. Maybe not so much in the MAAC but up games and post season.

Been around this board and watching Siena hoops for what seems like an eternity now. Depth and PT is a pretty common concern-topic at this time of the year. We’re always too deep here or there and wonder where PT is coming from, that is until we’re not. One injury, an ailment or two (we are in the midst of a pandemic), one or two players don’t play up to expectations and all of sudden we lack depth.
Let’s see how it all shakes out. I’m sure Golson will get his minutes and chance to prove he belongs on the floor.

I’m sure Golson will get his minutes and chance to prove he belongs on the floor. Couldn't agree more. There's also the fact that we lost 2 of our 3 bigs from last year. At the end of last season there a great deal of discussion as to who would be here to fill the minutes at the 5, especially Burn's minutes. Well, I'd say they, at first glance, have solved that problem. We haven't seen yet exactly what each player can contribute to the roster this season, but I give our coaches a lot of credit for doing a good job filling the 4 and 5 (maybe 3) positions. Before Carey left it looked like we were fairly solid in the backcourt. We looked quite stocked there. My last thought is in the make-up of the roster of big men. We have young freshmen that you never know if they will be able to help 1st year.(although we're hearing good things!) and upperclassmen transfers who will be here for only a season or two. Let's hope quality depth on our roster ends up being one of our strong points this season.
