Story on why Sutherland left Siena. Wasn't a run-off. Similar to Seymour, it just became apparent to him that the big guard - focused attack and finish system that requires the ability to attack the basket off the dribble and defend multiple positions didn't fit his game as primarily a big jump shooter. He wasn't quick enough to play the 3 at this level. As he states he'd have to basically become a 5 to play. I can see why athletic attack the basket types like Colin Golson and Bennett Kwiecinski were recruited over him. Good luck to him at Bryant. dailygazette.com/article/2020/04/12/sutherland-opens-up-on-decision-to-leave-siena-basketball

Wish nothing but the best for this kid. Think we will wish we never lost him. Think he will be a really good player for Bryant and could have been a really good player with size and athleticism for Siena.

Kids classy no doubt about it. Not a bad word to say about Siena, Carm or his teammates.

Just saw on Rothstein’s twitter that Luke will be eligible for 20-21.
With all of the non-grad transfers that have not been required to sit out, one would think that Dana, who sat out for a semester, must be given favorable consideration to be eligible first semester.

Dana was suspended at URI. Don't know what leniency he gets.

Given the current roster talent and talent trajectory that Coach Carm has the Saints on Sutherland would have been a coming off the bench player at best. Some players are OK with that and some want to be more of a contributor. He will have a better chance to be the latter at Bryant. I think in this case good move for both the player and the Saints.

Wont matter. Its very doubtful any games will played before Thanksgiving.
