Wow, that Camper video is awesome, and should make it obvious to almost anyone why he was 1st team all MAAC. It was interesting to see how often he produced without an assist from Jalen. And the video barely showed his rebounding! If we had a recruit with a highlight video like that, I'd worry that he'd have a bunch of high major offers to choose from. So glad he stayed at Siena! Yankee thinks he’s overrated.

You watch every game and you appreciate "his" game. You think about where his game started as a freshman and it's pretty amazing. But when you see his highlights like this video, it's just shocking! He has come so far! I can't believe anyone thought he was going to develop his game this far and to where it presently is at! If he continues to work as hard on his skills this off-season as he has in the past two seasons and improves as much as he has in previous years, WOW!! Thank you for that video.

Just listened to the interview. The other thing that I caught was that Carm said wehave Kyle and Denzel coming back at the 5. Perhaps he has some plans for Denzel.

Have to love the part when Carm was talking about Dana and Aidan and how much they helped once they joined the team- many times when they were playing the part of opponents star on "scout" team Carm said they were actually better than opposing player they were simulating..LOL. Carm mentioned that Aidan will be our most athletic player with the ball in his hands on team Another thing that was not mentioned here....Carm mentioned Aidan guarding the opposing teams' PG to keep Pickett off the ball on D more. That type of talk tells me Carpenter is going to play a lot. If you are known for your scoring but the coach is talking about you being a key part of the defense....then you're going to be out there. Pickett thrives more on D in help situations where he can read the play and react. He might get his steal rate up a bit closer to where he was as a frosh if this happens and he's good on the ball. Smithen allowed him to jump a lot of passing lanes and rack up almost 70 steals. Perhaps Carpenter can do the same for him.. Pickett had 36 less steals this year than as a frosh.

If Carm has plans for Denzel, that may mean there may not be another big coming in. If so, that does not bode well for depth at the 5 position. Just a thought.

Smithen with legit scoring game is a scary, scary sight.

Here's a try at the rotation as of now. It's a tough one to figure out.
I tried but I can't justify cutting Pickett and Camper's minutes down to much more than 33. They are just too important.
PG- Pickett 6-4 __ (33)--Carpenter 6-5 _ (7) SG- Harris 6-6 ___ (7)-- Carpenter 6-5 _(23)--King 6-0 ____(10) SF- Carey 6-5 ___ (25)--Harris 6-6 ___(10)-- Tate 6-7 ______(5) PF- Camper 6-7 _ (33)-- Tate 6-7 _____ (7) C-- Young 6-9 __ (15)-- Golson 6-7 ___(15)-- Tate 6-7 _____ (5)-- Kwiecinski 6-8__(5)
Pickett - 33 Camper - 33 Carpenter - 30 Carey - 25 Harris - 17 Tate - 17 Young - 15 Golson - 15 King - 10 Kwiecinski - 5
With Tate having to wait out the first 10 games or so....figure he'll sort of come in being behind. Honestly, unless he's the best option at the 5 (he may very well be)....an argument could be made that the team's overall makeup changes very little without him.
I also may be giving King too many mins at expense of Carey.

The only good thing about the new transfer rule--if it goes thru Tate will be immediately available, and even if it doesnt figure good chance Tate gets Waiver.. as for depth and time chart-- you're guess is as good as anyone, we know the starting 4 will get time, we are fairly certain Aidan and Tate will get time, and even Tate how much time can he play Center? King will get time.. how much does Young Improve, how big a sophomore jump does he take and how ready are Golson and BK?

Perhaps he has some plans for Denzel. my guess is carm figures he will give Young and Tchougang some run. If it isnt clicking just yet he can always go a little smaller with Tate Ghoulson Kwiecinski helping at the five and backing up camper at the 4. So platooning the 5 when young goes to the bench is probably the play here.

Just missed out on the kid who went to Xavier and Sischo decided to stay. I'm confident our hard working staff will get the final missing piece a big man to offset the loss of Burns.
