Huge loss for SPU. He might have been best player on the team and only a freshman. BTW, are transfers allowed between teams within the MAAC?

While he only has to fit out 1 yr, I thought I read somewhere a long time ago that MAAC team transfers might have to sit for 2 yrs to discourage transfers. Not sure if that’s a MAAC rule or the MAAC fans’ rule.

I think the MAAC has the same 2 year rule, but the school losing the kid can sign off on him and it just becomes a one year sit.

The only other time I remember a kid transferring within the conference was the guard from Albany Academy that went from Fairfield to St Peters. Can’t recall his name? Lewis maybe??

this seems to jibe with what another poster wrote, about how mid majors would become minor league systems for the power 5. i wonder if he will play at those places.

Gotta be impressed by how high MAAC transfers are going... Philly, wait to be impressed to see if a player plays at those places. If they just sit the bench or get in for 5 minute a game, not such a good move. I am sure many posters can list multiple MAAC players who were non-factors in big time programs, and ended up sitting for long periods of time.

Don't disagree that they may end up sitting, but that top teams in the Big 6 conferences are competing for them is still impressive! Both for them as well as quality of top tier MAAC talent. I also think that in the case of " one and done" graduate transfers, teams are trying to fill a specific need and I'd be surprised if the majors are recruiting them just to sit on the bench. In the case of the two Quinny kids, I would anticipate them both playing at least 15 minutes a game for BC and Texas A&M.
