college age kids carry the virus and infect everyone else. and because the period of infection is so long they can spread into virtually unchecked 100's...and if college age kids have any copd, lung, asthma, immune system issues of any kind it may affect them. We don't have the medical personnel or institutions to effectively deal with the numbers who may be very ill and require hospitalization. See Italy (who has far more hospital beds per capita than we do) If you really want to go overboard then ban fans from the games. But there is no reason whatsoever to cancel the entire spring season. that's a ridiculous statement-saying I want to go overboard. what do I have to do with it?? I DO have several family members who are at risk - severe asthmatics, history of pneumonia, compromised immune system(some under 30) but for some people, if it doesn't directly impact them then it doesn't matter....

if they do in fact ban fans from Dayton, you could imagine that every other site might possibly follow that protocol..........what a disaster that would be for Albany if that were to happen.........can't even begin to comprehend not being able to attend those games............... It's all about tanking the economy. Not going to get political but you know the reason why. If people are so concerned then DON'T GO TO THE DAMN GAMES!! LIVE and LET LIVE! Soooooo well stated! We have personal choices....well, as of today we do;.

You may say live and let live, it's your own risk, but that's not it at all.
You get infected, and it's highly likely you will infect others. And they infect others. Some of the people in that chain may die from it. It's not just a matter of personal choice.
I am still not convinced this is the right decision, however, as the economic impacts for the local businesses will be enormous.

I hear ya, but honestly if this that bad then total quarantine would be the ONLY way to stop it..............not doing some preventative things but allow others, that makes no logical sense.................

Going to a public event is s public and personal decision and this is just a disaster....BS That's right, just like choosing not to be immunized for various illnesses, and not having your children immunized. They're only personal decisions, right? Don't have any impact/affect on anybody else, right?
