Iona will be tough in March. Want them on the other side of things. Glad we came away with a win tonight. Lets go grab the regular season title.

We get very little from Don or Jordan tonight. We need Don to get his confidence back if we expect to do damage in the MAAC tourny.

1st half Siena - 2nd half Iona
Entertaining game, only got production from 3 players that’s a bit worrisome, DCjr did have 8 boards & our defense kept Iona’s 3pt shooting in check, & we did a nice job on the boards. A few too many scoring droughts in this one, it almost got away.
I agree with most I would like to see Harris get more minutes.
King struggled on the offensive end but played pretty good defensively.
Let’s see what happens on the road. As impressive as we are at home we’re as equally unimpressive on the road. Not sure what to expect. Hopefully this home stand provides a confidence boost!

Any win versus up a is a good win. Not a thing of beauty but a gritty effort down the stretch. Nice that the Senior Burns came up big at the end. We need some offense from Carey to win on the upcoming road trip.

Ya and tonight he had ZERO to go with two turnovers and Iona wasn't quiting they were playing to win. Yeah, but you said he doesnt play well against athletic teams? So Iona wasnt athletic when he played very well down there? No one is arguing he didnt play well tonight. He didnt. Who did?? Our big 3 and thats it. Our supplemental players didnt show up tonight, and thats why it was a close game this time. Look, Iona quit when we played them down there. They didn't tonight. Harris should have played more. Jalen wasn’t exactly on fire either although he did have a good all around game.

Hard to win when you shoot 28% and 0-5 from 3 for a half ... the Big 3 simply put the team on their back.
Can't expect to do that on the road and win ... got to get some more consistent play Don, Gary and the benxh.

Coach Carm did a great job setting up that final play. I know Burns wasn't the first option, but he got a favorable matchup in all of the confusion and player movement. Burns was able to use his 21-pound advantage over Ristanovic to get to the rim and draw the foul.
I've watched thousands of basketball games in my life and it is maddening to watch teams settle for ridiculous step-back threes in the final seconds of a tie game. It's a tie game! A bucket from anywhere wins it! Why not get it to your efficient big man and give him a look from point-blank range? Siena did that tonight, and they walked away with a huge win.

Carm nearly cost us the game. You can't play King and Hein together and he really shouldn't have played King at all last night. King could not guard Iona. Period. That and his shooting isn't worth the defensive liability. Don Carey also needs to become the player he was sold as. The guy isn't bad but is a turnover machine.
Had we lost, that would have been on Carm. I'm glad he drew up the final play that he did but really, there was no reason for it to be that close.

You got to give the opponents credit SOMETIME.
