Both Capital District players made their way to the Donald L. Tucker Center this season and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by both.
Platek was one of the weaker players who was on the floor regularly but please don't take that as a slight because he belonged he was simply one of the less dynamic players. Since he is playing a fair amount, I don't see him leaving the Tarheel program. Unless he graduates early and wants to have one big year in-front of the hometown crowd.
Girard was impressive! He did a good job handling the Seminoles pressure and athleticism. He did a good job attacking the defense and most importantly if the defense gives him a sliver of day light inside the mid-court stripe it does so at its own peril. As you all know this kid can shoot! He took some deep 3 pointers and all looked good, he made at least one of them. When I say deep I am talking like within a step or so of the mid-court logo. I believe he is going to have a great career with Cuse.
Hoping Carm can get the Saints back to a point where they have a legitimate shot at keep some of these players home.

Platek plays hard... jay bilas had nothing but good things to say about him during the Duke game.
