I see Roger Wyland ( via Twitter) is still in love with UAlbany. Nothing about Siena! 🙄🙄

Thanks, I was wondering...could have been a lucrative day for the 50-50 with the big crowd. I couldn’t get my gambling fix the last two games. Just kidding, I don’t consider 50-50 gambling; rather it’s just my way of donating to a good cause with the every so slight a chance to win. Speaking of gambling, I still don’t get why Rivers doesn’t allow us to gamble on NYS college games. I believe they allow us to gamble on non-NYS college games. I’d bet on Siena, if I could (legally). I think the reason is the fear that someone participating in the games could just walk in and bet on it. You can bet on pros because someone would know if the Bills QB or Knicks PG walked in but a random college player? Would be easy to pull off. Then you factor in the tournament in Albany who’s to say someone connected to a program wandering over Rivers during the off day!?

If NYS or the casinos are worried about that then maybe they shouldn’t be in the gambling business. I’d rather be able to bet on Siena then any other college team outside of NYS.

NYS law prohibits betting on NYS based colleges (regardless of the venue) and any college event played in NYS. To illustrate: You cannot bet Siena vs. BC at BC nor can you bet Kansas vs. Duke at MSG but you can bet UNC vs. Duke at Cameron.
