Wow ... weird ending. Masiello seemed like he gave up with 2 minutes to go. Great game by Sammy Friday today and then great finish. Way to attack the paint and much better job on the glass, especially in the second half. Held serve again at home - got to finish off the home stand against Iona. Do you blame him, his team couldn't score. Once it was 7 points game was over. Great finish to get the cover. Seen lots of crazy finishes over the years - 7 points with over a minute to play isn't insurmountable. Not complaining, just surprised given the activity Manhattan showed on defense to cut it to 1.

Is that extra minute of rest for Pickett worth letting Manhattan back in the game? Yes coach it is.. Jalen cant play 40 min-( is there anything you wont bitch about) Jalem played 38 min 10 sec and you bitch about the min he was out ( WTF is wrong with you) - both teams were kind of gassed the last 10 min. Nice win, like way team gutted it out when they didnt have their best. And not sure who lit a fire under Sammy Ass-- but he gave us a big lift today, we dont win game without Sammy

Had Manhattan been able to shoot it may have cost them the game. Sorry I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw it that way. If you don't like my posting just ban me. It's your right and your board.

Siena D held Jaspers scoreless for 7:30 in that 2nd half............clamped down when they needed to get stops and also did not allow 2nd chance attempts either.............

Gutsy performance, the team is starting to get it on d. They should perhaps rethink that play of the game.

Think the three most maligned players on this board deserve a ton of credit: Hein, Friday, and Carey.
Hein has 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists to go along with no turnovers. Beyond that, he had several hustle plays (back taps on offensive rebounds, etc). He helped us win this one.
Carey was also very good today despite the unusual foul line struggles. He played very steady perimeter D, took care of the ball, and made some big shots.
And of course, Sammy Friday. He brought us a ton of energy in the first half and continues his resurgence. His minutes were big today.
We needed all these guys to make an extra play or two with Elijah and Jalen not having their best games, and they did. Good work fellas!

With Hein, the things that don't show up on the stat sheet are the reason why he gets his well deserved minutes, game after game. Friday has simply played with much more purpose lately. Manhattan is the perfect team for him to do well against.

I'll eat crow and admit Matty Hein was useful tonight. He still has to lead the team by far in dumb fouls when opponents are in the bonus. Looked like Carm was really giving it to him for giving them two free throws end of the first half. Hopefully the message was received cause he can be a useful guy when he plays like a 5th year senior and not a freshman. Speaking of the freshman, disappointing to not see Kyle or Luke. Get that Sammy is finally playing with some fire and I love it but he's still better in spurts than for extended minutes so a little dose of Kyle would have been nice. I've been on the we need Carey bandwagon for a while, love that he's found his role and embraced it.

It's not a good thing to ban Papi. It's fun reading the thoughts of an adult with reasoning power of a 4 year old.

Played with fire after that. Great hustle by Harris and Sammy to save that one loose ball!
