Another bonus for ‘Cuse is their 5 star freshman that year, Dior Johnson, is from Saugerties. Probably be with Girard in the backcourt. Nice homecoming JB should strongly consider. I highly doubt HB will still be coaching at Cuse in 3 year. JMO. Unless there are health problems then there is no way Boeheim will not be there in 2023. They just landed their biggest recruit since Carmelo, you don't walk away from that. Now if Johnson takes them to the Final Four and is a one and done and the recruiting looks weak in 2024 then that might be the time to walk away.

That does help for Albany to make more sense than Glens Falls. Would be great if it happens and Carm should definitely be pushing it but I know I posted the entire list of Syracuse non-conference road games on another thread and over the past 10 years it was basically a few rivalries from the Big East and games that were scheduled by the ACC-B10 challenge or Big East-SEC challenge. We might have to settle for a doubleheader at the TUC where Siena plays Colgate and Syracuse plays Georgetown. What about getting Hopkins to bring Washington here for Hameir Wrights (AA) senior year. UW has a few other City Rocks on the roster. Hopkins could play us on a Thursday, and at Syracuse (good for Stewart and Carter) on a Saturday. Makes too much sense. I'd enjoy that but then again I wouldn't be footing the bill or making the flights for the two return trips back to Washington. From Washington's standpoint though anything in the northeast would be a homecoming for him so they might opt for an exempt tournament like the 2K Classic where they can play two majors in NYC and get two low majors to come play at Washington as part of the event.

and while Roy Williams is kind of in the "area" (NJ vs Monmouth), just swing up to Albany to play us (for Platek)..............

I highly doubt HB will still be coaching at Cuse in 3 year. JMO. Agreed. JB should still be there. HB should be gone by then Sorry, typo. JB won’t be coaching at Syracuse in 3 years (health, death, fired, retired, coaching somewhere else, fill in the reason).

If he wasn’t 75 or didn’t have health issues, I’d agree with you. I just don’t see him there in 3 years. It’s too stressful a job with his current health. JMO

Coaching Syracuse IS his life. Not sure he’d know how to live without it.

Coaching Syracuse IS his life. Not sure he’d know how to live without it. Well, NOW we know the reason why he won’t be at Syracuse in 3 years. Thanks for clearing that subject up,
