The way to go was getting a home game for kids local kids who play at HM schools. How about Northwestern? They have kid from Troy and from Kingston? Northwestern hasn’t played a road game against a mid-major in at least 5 years and their coach is approaching the hot seat. Don’t see why they’d come... but between the Buie connection, Gaines, and Ryan Young you could call I guess. Gaines is a guy to watch. Former City Rock who Carm recruited hard to GW and loves. He seems likely to be a grad transfer next year. He’ll probably have better options but we could sell him on a big role.

I would gladly take the teams in your second sentence as they would all be competitive and fun games AND those are the kind of teams I speak of. More ivy's, and caa and the occasional a10 other than Fordham and the bonnies. The maac and patriot also have some intriguing teams. We are in a cbb hotbed geographically but fail to take advantage Exactly how do you propose that we take advantage of the geographic college basketball hotbed we are in? Didn’t we already have this conversation? Yes, there are quite a few “name” schools in the northeast/east coast that would be attractive opponents to bring to the TUC, but if they don’t want to schedule Siena, what do you suggest?

I have no problem playing good mids instead of high majors. I'd like to see Siena play schools in these conferences...
MAC (Buffalo) CAA
Bit of stretch due to travel but hey would be fun... Sun Belt Big South (Winthrop) Southern

I speak of mid level caa, mac, patriot, ivy, even a10 schools. Why not? Not the top level schools for the most part. We, as a maac school with a great facility and history, it shouldn't be too hard. The trips are reasonable and geez, yes the geography is in our favor. Some different looks.

So what would the schedule look like in full as of now?
vs. Colgate @st. Louis @american
3 of Michigan St., Gonzaga, Auburn, Xavier, St. Louis, Belmont, and Boise State.
@st. Bonnies vs. Yale @ Bucknell? @ Holy Cross? vs. To be Determined.
Am I understanding this right?

With the word that the final game is against a CAA team, it will be a very good non-conference schedule. The four Eames in the Orlando event, including the game at St. Lous, will be against teams that ranked between 1 and 101 in the net rankings last season. Yale finished at 69, Colgate at 121 and St. Bona at 122. Four of the CAA teams were ranked between 118 and 154 and three of them (Northeastern, Hofstra and Towson) are among the five most likely opponents based on geography. American finished at 197 (would have been third in the MAAC), leaving only Bucknell and Holy Cross on the wrong side of 200.

I would also love to see Elon. A lot of kids from this area attend there and it would be a good road trip

I'm really wondering about the Orlando Tournament if it will be played at the HP Field House or The Arena.
Last time Siena was there, the tournament was played at the HP Field House, which seats 5,000.
The Arena, which was built in 2018, seats 8,000- but it is not made for basketball events (it can have six courts on it), but cheer competitions from what I have read online. If you are interested in the NBA, they will play games in The Arena when the season restarts.
Figure the social distancing would be better in an 8,000 seat arena.

I've lost track. Currently, what is the schedule for the team during the summer and early Fall?

Regular season opener is Colgate at the TUC on Nov. 10. There will be a home exhibition game prior to that. At St. Louis on Nov.14 and at American on Nov. 19, then the Orlando Invitational on Nov. 26, 27 and 29.

Got my first peak at how the high school sports schedule is looking and it's not good. Talking about switching seasons up, cutting them in half and possibly foregoing fall season altogether. Cuomo put the breaks on offseason workouts which will affect high school basketball.
