No it would not. NO need to take on the ordeal of locking people out at SEFCU and rehashing all that stuff. We've got the right coach to implement a good trajectory for this program. NO REARVIEW MIRRORS needed. Great post! Couldn't agree more!! Not sure what you guys are agreeing about. The only thing bad about this game is ethat we lost a lot of those matchups. If UA agreed to have the game played exclusively at the TUC it would be a no-brainer. It’s a great game and a great rivalry. As a program we are in their rear view mirror, they are not in ours. MSGA!

There is always a benefit to having home games with 10k plus! If it requires massaging the balls of the 136 Albany season ticket holders and giving them nice seats for one game out of each three then get it done. Never again at SEFCU.

The last time the game was played, the TU Center was split down the middle between the two schools and the season ticket holders for both had the same opportunity to get center court seats. As I recall, Albany sold Only about 250 tickets to their most loyal fans. That arrangement apparently did not satisfy Brown and Benson. Let them keep playing a SUNYAC D3 school.

Like I said, the only thing bad about this game is that we lost a lot of those matchups. If UA agreed to have the game played exclusively at the TUC it would be a no-brainer. It’s a great game and a great rivalry. As a program we are in their rear view mirror, they are not in ours. The program has a long way to go to get back to being a legitimate mid-major.
It appears some here would be against a game (exclusively) at the TUC that draws 10k. That doesn’t make much sense.

They average 5k too? Yeah they won a few games with their same tired coach while we made a few unfortunate coaching hires. The game got stale from a fan standpoint, and they forgot who they were. Now that we have a coaching staff willing to work, expect to see that date filled with interesting non conference opponents for our season ticket dollar, maybe even get an elite mid major or high major to come in here for almost as many fans.

I have no problem with us playing UA. Win or lose it was an exciting rivalry. I have a big problem with wanting to play at a facility not capable of hold 10,000 fans, leaving many fans left out. I have a problem with the entire experience of getting into the game at UA. The parking, bussing walking. I have always agreed with the idea of not having the game part of our home season package, thereby giving UA fans equal opportunity for premium seats. When you have people unwilling to compromise, the best thing to do is eliminate the problem. Let both programs flourish on their own merits without the animosity that had developed.

Have the game at the Tuc exclusively. I agree. But some on this board wouldn’t want that game. They think we are better than UA. That’s not the case.

Brown is what he is, a solid low major coach Right, and the Maac is ranked lower than the AE, so what does that say about Siena? I don’t understand why UA has to be knocked around, I would love to see two solid mid-major programs in the cap region. Right now we don’t have one, let alone two. The game is great for both programs. The synergy is incredible and should not be wasted. It’s good for Siena, great for UA, and good for the area.

I guess I can see how a game between the two schools would be "great" for UAlbany, but how is the game "good for Siena....and good for the area"? I don't get it. What I would like to see is a double-header at the TUC with Siena and Albany each playing a mid-to-upper-level opponent. Those things aren't that easy to arrange, and can be a bit expensive, but seems much more like a win-win for both schools than having them play each other.

Might be nice if we could ever host a 2 day tournament. And been discussed before, altho they probably wouldn't go for it but a MAAC-MAC challenge would be good.

You don’t understand how a game that draws 10 thousand people is good for Siena? Good for the area? Siena doesnt need Ualbany to draw 10,000 fansa-- UA needs Siena to draw 10,000 fans. Siena is under no obligation to help UA. And UA is under no obligation to help Siena. IF UA couldn't see the benefits to their program of being in that game, then that is an internal UA problem. Since discontinuing the game UA attendance has dropped, media interest has dropped and quite frankly the quality of their incoming recruits has dropped. UA brings in D3 schools to fill out their home schedule. And again if that's how UA wants to run their program- that is their call. I know it cant be good for recruiting, fan interest or building their brand- but once again that's UA's call I really have no idea why we rehash this - UA can ask Darg to restart the series at anytime and I'm quite sure Darg would listen as long as game is in TUC

Nothing in that for Siena-- UA doesnt draw flies- why in the world would we want to give the UA program exposure -- and quite frankly it would be mainly Siena fans paying for the event since UA doesnt draw
