Every now and then a film comes along that moves you. Last night that film for me was the ESPN 30-30, Benji Wilson. If you get a chance, see it. Ben Wilson rocked Chicago's world in the 1980s, and was named the city's first #1 national basketball prospect in 1984. In a scene all too common, he was taken away from us on the eve of his senior season at Simeon Career Academy. His friends and teammates, with familiar names such as Nick Anderson and R. Kelly, tell the story in their own words.

I remember that well. The Iona recruit Haynes, suffered the same fate, was truly tragic. And years ago there was an outstanding 6'7" kid from Utah who was tragically killed when he walked into a live downed power line.
