I think this is a fantastic signing! A strong, athletic kid with a high-motor. Athletic ability and heart are two of the hardest things to coach up, so starting there is a great base. Anyone can work on becoming a better passer/shooter/defender etc, especially if they've got the will to improve. I love the potential of this kid and I love the intentional decision to bring a hard-working grinder onto the team. Great for the attitude of the whole squad! Plus at 17 he just might get bigger yet. An under the radar pickup that could pay off big time down the road.

Simon strikes again. We are lucky to have him. Great signing.

I'm honestly surprised the kid signed so early. Given that he sat out all of last year I would think his recruiting period is really just kicking off and that with some good play this might have been the first of many offers. No complaints from me though, guess the staff did a great job and the fit was right!

Simon strikes again. We are lucky to have him. Great signing. Simon is a great assistant. I really like the staff. Siena put money into it. With 16 off the books and the buyout from GW (plus Carm not making a ton as a rookie HC) they were able to put together a good staff with the lead assistant a guy who has been the top assistant two high-major programs in Alabama and Providence. I hope we can keep Bob here for a long time. Surprised he was never a head coach.

The way Colin attacks the glass, at least on the film I've seen so far, if he is a good outlet passer I see a lot of fastbreaks in Siena's future. Like in Fran's years when Franklin, Rossiter and the other bigs just crashed the boards and their teammates took off running. Having guards like Picket and Carey and wings like Harris will make for lots of highlights if Siena can also put a dominant rebounder or two on the floor with them. F U N

I assume he can adapt to the style but like everything this time of year, we will just have to wait and see.

You are right but what I liked about Pickett last year was that he was a beast in one on one situations, mostly due to his size. Also, he continually demonstrated the ability to make difficult on point pass while under defensive pressure. Combining those two characteristics, which I think most of us agree on, with what we've heard about Don, we've seen on tape of Gary and the way I anticipate Carmen and co. to continue recruiting and I think Colin can be a very important part of the Attack equation.

If Pickett is the point I don't see him running the fast break the way Ronald Moore could. Different type of player.

I like Golson, but we still have Camper for 2 more years. I think we’ll be watching him running on the breaks for awhile longer. Golson probably won’t be needed that much until the 2021-22 season...especially if Sutherland is any good.

KK, why do you think Sutherland might not be able to adapt to college play? Not strong enough maybe?

I agree though Golson probably doesn't start until 21-22. With the other scholarships I think we sign another PG and big man (transfer would be good to replace Burns).
