Wonder how they feel about their two year suspension/sanctions? Probably pretty good. Their main punishment is the loss of one scholarship for one year - and that had been self-imposed quite awhile ago. Nothing new. In addition, they are facing very minor limits on recruiting that likely won't affect them at all. They didn't receive any punishment in terms of postseason play. But the best thing for them is that Kevin Ollie was slammed in the report and essentially given a three-year suspension from coaching anywhere in the NCAA. The many Ollie violations make it extremely likely that UConn will win its arbitration with Ollie and save $10 Million.

They’ve had a bandit men’s basketball program for years. Can’t imagine how Calhoun got elected to the HoF given the violations incurred during his tenure. (Given some of the other coaches put in the HoF, though, maybe being found responsible for such violations is a prerequisite for selection!) But fans of such programs seem all too willing to overlook any violations and suspensions as long as their revered program keeps on “winning”.
