Disappointing loss - no doubt about it - but still pleased with the overall effort and play this season. It's only one loss - a game, if we're all being honest, that they were due for.
The key is to not let that final 8 minutes carry over to Quinny. Need to establish a better offensive flow right from the start and get a rebound win.
Hope to see Ratliff back soon as he could provide a small boost ... at least a breather for a few guys to keep them fresher down the stretch. With the limited bench, there's just so little room for error. We've had a few games now where I think we just ran out of gas late.

Major teaching moment - KD's behind the back TO show's just how quickly, and fatally momentum can shift - to a man, they all tightened up and the Gals took big time advantage - tough loss, but not fatal and, given this staff's history, they'll learn from it...

Iona’s Tim Cluess had a good game plan, he wanted ball out of Jalen’s hands ( he admitted in new Rochelle Jalen made all the plays to beat him) So as soon as Jalen got the ball the double team came, Jalen passed out of it, but Siena couldn’t take advantage ( too many role players) He also doubled and sometimes triple teamed Evan down low, in most cases Evan did not pass out of it and took a bad shot. Our lack of consistent 3rd and 4th scoring options hurt us last night

In a few words, Evan was off last night. If we’d finished under the hoop on several attempts different outcome. If we’d boxed out better on Iona’s offensive rebounds, different outcome. That lead was a bad thing, had the game stayed a little closer and the guys had kept their composure, you guessed it, different outcome.
I knew we were in trouble when Kadeem dribbled one off his foot early on. Not the end of the world but I don’t want to see a Rider esque fall from grace.

Evan was forcing stuff and it occurred to me he might have been reading some of HG's posts - uncharacteristic - POW honor may be the kiss of death at times for him - good thing is that I know he will snap back and learn from it...

It's funny, my contribution today was going to be how disheartening the radio guys were post game. Kanell and Grazulis were brutal on the team. "They didn't deserve to win" was what they said. It was a disappointing ending, but it's like this is a veteran team with high expectations.

Most of the other coaches will choke.

In my eyes, it is really quite simple; if you are building a culture to foster a Championship team they need to learn how to play themselves out of the fustercluck they got themselves into. I truly believe that is what JC was doing....not so much for the Seniors but for the underclassmen on the floor. The only thing that crossed my mind was that for the three Seniors they never had the opportunity to 'UNFUSTER' in the past regime. Also, I am hoping that his loss is the motivator that pushes them to finish the season (whenever, wherever) on a very high note.

Maybe we could look and see that except for KS the rest of the bench played a total of 8 minutes in this game when analyzing why this one may have slipped away. That’s how thin the margin of error is on this team- the starters are exhausted by the end of the game. This was a team loss, not an “Evan had a bad game “ loss.

This was a team loss, not an “Evan had a bad game “ loss. You are half right- I agree it was a team loss, also unquestionably Evan had a very piss poor game- It would be one thing if he just had a poor shooting night and missed a bunch of good shots, Evan hoisted up at least a half dozen very poor shots, over double and triple teams, a 30 foot three point attempt with plenty of time on shot clock , his man killed him on the boards. Evan has played great this year, not sure if he was reading his press clippings, just a bad game, etc -- either way wasn't good for Siena. Let's hope he shakes it off for Quinny
