I agree with Canisius the team to beat. Also think something is going on "inside" Rider, if Baggett can figure it out I think Donks have most talented team. Monmouth might be 2nd most talented team, but have no confidence Rice can win it all, if he couldnt with team he had a few years ago dont see it now. Iona is 3 time defending champion so can't count them out. Siena and Quinny dark horses. Monmouth and Canisius two worst matchups for Siena Agree with everything except Monmouth. I think they are going to take a step back towards reality starting with the Rider game this week. Monmouth may take a step backward, but they are still a terrible match up for Saints- they have a bunch of strong athletic guards and manhandled Pickett in both games. To his credit Jalen admits that and says he needs to get stronger. Also Evan struggles with Quinn. Monmouth just a bad matchup for our Saints, I hope we can avoid them in MAAC tournament

Fairfield becomes the first team officially eliminated from the maac regular season title with 4 games to go.
Siena creeps into a tie for 3rd if Marist hangs on, but one game ahead of 6th.

Marist wins at Quinny - Saints will get a mad Quinny team on Sunday on a quick turnaround in a HUGE game both teams at 8-5 - winner would be a game up and have the tiebreaker since it is the only meeting. Need to protect the home court!
Updated MAAC standings-
Canisius 9-4 Monmouth 9-5 Siena 8-5 Quinnipiac 8-5 Iona 8-6 Rider 8-6 Marist 6-7 Manhattan 6-7 Niagara 4-9 Fairfield 4-10 SPU 3-9
Sunday's games all at 2pm
Quinnipiac at Siena Manhattan at Canisius Marist at Monmouth Fairfield at Niagara Rider at St. Peter's

Very good night for Siena. IF FF could have held on, it would have been a great night.... and a tie for 1st place just watching. We take care of business, that game @ Canisius March 1st, could be for the title.

Win out and play on Thursday. Everyone has at least five losses except Canisius. If Siena wins out, it will finish 13-5 and ahead of Iona, Rider and Quinny. Monmouth already has five losses and Canisius will if Siena beats the Griffs. Monmouth and Canisius meet in Jersey, so one of them will also have at least six losses.

If Siena beats Quinnipiac, that is possible. But first things first. Need to win the next home game or what you said can't happen. If they play like they did last game it will be ugly. One game at a time. Could finish 8-10 or 13-5. Need to go one game at a time. The Quinnipiac game is huge.

Nit or pig still in play what a season. And to think some were making fun of me in my prediction of post season play when I included all options (including NIT). While a couple said the NCAA wasn’t out of the question due to winning three or four in March and “C” tournaments but some questioned me NIT possibility. Now my overly optimistic prediction doesn’t seem that far fetched now does it?

I’m not trying to sound cocky but Quinny’s playing its third game in like 5-6 days, on the road, so I really like our chances at winning this one. Also, since we just lost our last game, one that we should have won, JC will have team fired up. Let’s Go Saints!!!
