What would Stepinac beat LuHi by?? And is AA the only team you didnt see? Stepinac vs Luhi would be interesting. I saw Stepinac a bunch this year. Obviously the injury to Griffin really reshaped their season. Both teams at full strength that would be a heck of a game. Stepinac at full strength is really unbelievable, but LuHi is so well coached. The one team on the list I did not see was WHEELS. Saying that AA would lose to Stepinac is not an insult be any means. Obviously the Jackson brothers are legit, and they are a great team/program. Stepinac is bringing kids off the bench that are getting D1 offers. I know personally that Marist and Siena have been in touch with one of their players that left my school to go there. He will probably do a post grad after leaving which will help because he will be 17 when he graduates. But this kid didn't even play until Griffin got hurt, and has low to mid major D1 interest. They are just rolling from a recruiting perspective right now.

Curbelo made an incredible putback off his own miss to win the game at the buzzer, so to me AA is def in LuHi's league. I would have loved to have seen a rematch up in GF in the Federation. I know Stepinac has a bunch of talent, with the best kid, Griffin, only a soph. Lets just say the higher upstate you get, the less respect you get. I've seen a lot of that over the past 40 years. BTW-Ive seen WHEELS because one of their better kids announced hes walking on at Siena this year. I wasnt very impressed.

If the writers poll a popularity contest because no one in their right mind would say any suburban council team is better then AA. I assume it’s because of record and most of them don’t realize the National tournaments that AA played in

I want to say AA hit something like 12 3's in the first half. For sure it was a great game. I just feel like Stepinac at full strength was better then anyone in the state last year. Unfortunately for them that never really happened. I think they played 3 games all year with their entire starting lineup healthy. UNC, and Duke is a pretty good start to a high school team. Add in Chemezie, Fizulich, and that is a hell of a team. Baez, Bangura and Zangerle were all hurt at different points throughout the year. And Griffin missed over a month. They have a freshman point guard Nico Andrew's that we should start to try to involve ourselves with. Kid is going to be a stud. Believe me no bias here! I dislike Stepinac a lot. They poach players from me all the time.

Im not downgrading Stepinac, i know theyre very good. Probably the best in the state. 2 HM's and probably 2 MM kids right now. I think AA has 2 HM's and 1 MM kid. I do think LuHi and AA are "in their league."

I updated the Tracker and this staff has now offered 39 kids in Class of 21. Will be interesting to see who we prioritize. Obviously Chimeze is a priority, Tyler Whitney-Sidney was just featured on Rivals main site and we have offered a bunch of point guards a few wings.

Kid is a big time athlete. Also the starting quarterback for a really good football program. NFA was good last year, and should be way better next year. The coaching staff did right by him and allowed him to stay on the wing and develop his game for college. Kid can really score the ball. Gets to the hoop well, and can really shoot it. He is a City Rock. These are the kind of kids who might stay at our level because of not having the chance to completely blow up over the summer.

Do you remember the Newburgh team in the 80's that had Butch Moore and Terry Williams? Both started at SMU with Jon Koncak (Hawks). There might have been a 3rd kid from NFA or nearby that was in Dallas too.

I was born in 1980, but my father in law is huge into the local basketball scene. He talks about that team a lot. Funny side note I used to simulate basketball games with my two cousins. We would do all different teams. When we were the hawks I got to be Dominique, and my tall clumsy cousin was Jon Koncak🤣. We were just talking about that this weekend. This kid can play though, really good agility and lateral movement for a kid his size.
