Why aren't we recruiting MArcus JAckson from Albany Academy. Won MVP last week over his brother and other D1 kids at a major tourney.

I remember him from Glens Falls last year. He played against Luke's team. He can play!! More of a SF. Super athletic. Wants to dunk everything.

Does he have an outside shot? I saw he had 41 3's in his junior year of HS. Not sure about this year. He's got a great mid-range game, but can step out. I think he's at least 6'5" and strong. He had 26 in a win up at GF vs Kingston and 19 in loss to Luke Sutherlands West Genny team.

He is having a real hood prep year. Let’s hope he doesn’t blow up too much and wants to play back up north

I like the fact that our coaches still try as we have seen some of these kids not have great summers or maybe get injured and the big guys move on. I don’t see any Jimmy Paiges or Maurice Whites on our targets

I remember most of the rankings at the time had him on par with Wright and Long. Most are likely long gone but this one had him at #27 and Marquis at #43: capitolhoops.com/?p=593ESPN also had him the highest rated of his class: www.espn.com/colleges/basketball/recruiting/school/_/id/2561/class/2013

And Paige was a combo forward playing center. Both were recruited as guards...didn't make sense. If you're a 6-3 guard who can't shoot, act as a combo guard, or play PF effectively you are a questionable player on D1. White had no position nor skills. Someone just wasn't paying attention there. Paige, actually, might have been a usable rotation player as a combo forward. He had a decent showing at his next stop. It's just there were better/taller options. With Lavon and Bisping already around, they needed a guard not a combo forward. That was Jimmy just being a stupid roster manager...which he was ...oh how he was.

Both Paige and White were swings and misses at this level. Mo White at SG was athletic but couldn’t hit a layup let alone a jumper, Jimmy P was a guard sized 4 & better suited for D2.
You aren’t winning recruiting to Siena at that level or with the lack of effort employed by our former coach. Patsos hit on a few Fisher, Penn and Camper come to mind but missed far too often.
Thank God Carm has raised the bar!
